Hot Hot, i got 120GB version and its quick, best way to revive your laptop

Verrrrrry tempting!!!

Brilliant! Just what I wanted to spend my credit vouchers on. Thanks op

brought mine for 116.99 asked to refund the difference! gotta love amazon! always keep your recently order stuff back in your basket just incase they drop in price after you buy! ive asked for loads of discounts after ive got the item!

The Samsung 840 Pro's recently added "Rapid Mode" which on benchmarks was the one thing separating the two, now there's no reason to buy this over the 840 Pro, aside from offers you can't resist of course!

I don't know... I think theres still a strong case for the EVO. The fact that the pro is £40 more expensive and for most people they won't see the difference between the two (although the pro is blisteringly fast in benchmarks). The whole point of the EVO was offering a budget ssd with great performance - replacing the 840 - and I think its done pretty well at filling those shoes. Although I appreciate the Pro for what it is and its place within the market, i would still buy this one and spend the extra money on another part of a build.

This or the Kingston for £95.99?

Yeah true, for those building a new system or working with a strict budget, that price difference saved for many users could do well in going toward a step up in another component.

This IMO: more features, better performance, plus its a samsung.

Check Toms hardware benchmarks and/or forums/reviews

Thanks, will try Flubit now. I have an invite link if needed.

Thanks for this.

If anyone's looking for a side-by-side comparison of the EVO vs PRO, here it is
IMO the PRO offers marginal difference in real world terms for an extra £40.

I have created my own personal 'demand' with them for this, now waiting for them to come back with the offer. I was just offering the ability to help with signing up should anyone else want to do the same. Two or more people creating demands for the same item at the same time does not necessarily result in them being provided with the same offer. Anyway, hope it may help you, no worries if not.

again I paid more yesterday 116.99 amazon have refunded me the difference, thanks m8

Depends whether you get a free upgrade after it fails on year 4 or not. Dunno how likely it is but I have had loads of free normal hard drives that have been upgraded for free after failing on year 4 (Always get 5 year warranty ones even if they cost more).

What a joke flubit is.

I keep getting "wrong password"

Really!!!

I'm a new user, so how can the password be wrong.

I'm done with this POS flubit.

The Pro is for people who need the higher write speeds and generally heavier usage. Chances are, if you're not sure about it, the Pro isn't necessary for you and the Evo is almost certainly better value.

Mine must have a defect it's an Intel SSD still going after 7 or 8 years.

Must be some poor drives then mate.

My computers run 365 days a year constantly, never get Shut down and are being used for heavy gaming, yet they go way past 7 years without failures.

Currently still using my old wd raptors.

I'm guessing you have signed up for their invite program before under the same email address, if you have and are trying to register now by invite then it wont work unless you put in a different email..

Just had the same issue 3-4 times and figured that was the issue, which it seems it was. I had to sign up under another email address.. annoyingly.

Correct diagnosis.... Not the most helpful error message huh! Just use a different email address if you've requested an invite before with one and you can then change it again back to the one you want once you're signed up.

Not reached it's write limit yet

Gave my dad my spare 128gb OCZ Vertex 4 a while back so seemed like a perfect time for him to get me a replacement good price.

I bought it a few weeks ago. i paid £124.99 and its now £111.13. Just got £13.86 refunded. :-) Excellent drive. Works much better in my computer than the crucial.

Great offer... ...got....to ...resist!! oO arrrgh!!!

Damn.. Sorely need an SSD upgrade but my mum needs the cash more it'll be along again...

Can you advise?New to SSD.
Is there a minimum system requirement to use these?
I've got a really old PC and I was about to replace it, but if this can breath some life into it for another year that would do. (not a gamer)
cheers!

bought the crucial m500 last week when it was on offer.. agh what do to.. return it or keep it

what exactly would you use a 500gb + a 250gb? ssd for? it would be hard to fill that with applications and games

agh ordered it, will send the crucial back. couldnt justify it over the crucial when it was £124.99.. but this is a good deal!
