Do you have a link to a better deal?
Crucial £234.
Crucial MX500 is available for £231.59 from their website:

Reviews are glowing and it seems to be a serious contender to the Samsung drive for performance, while coming in cheaper and offering a better warranty.

To be fair, having a look at the price history at uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Sam…MUU this is about the best price in the past 12 months, but it's still horribly inflated so personally I'd hold off.
Sure, if you absolutely need one, go for it. I opted for a Crucial MX300 1.05TB, but I wasn't quite so performance-sensitive as it's only gone in my PS4, and I see they're currently selling for more than the new MX500 direct from Crucial, so I'd second what Crustybeaver says above.

Did you notice a significant difference using it in the PS4?

Sorry, I only just noticed this. I can't say conclusively that there's a significant difference, as I didn't do any testing. It certainly doesn't feel night and day, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you feel like blowing some cash. I'd possibly opt for a 2TB Firecuda hybrid drive instead.
