Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (with Assassin's Creed Origins) for £79.97 from Ebuyer

Well it looks as if Ebuyer has price matched the Amazon deal at £79.97 which is already a cracking price but they've also lumped in Assassin's Creed Origins as well, which makes this deal absolutely stonking.

I know some people aren't fond of Ebuyer but with the price and free game I don't think you can complain too much,I've never personally had a problem with them and I've spent a fair amount with them too.

I hope this helps someone, It did me! The Samsung 850 EVO is rated as one of the better SSDs available too, so you're in safe hands.

your missing the point... in the real world there is no difference in …your missing the point... in the real world there is no difference in speed to the sammy ssd and say kingston or crucial... and they are £20 cheaper... at £60

Apart from the fact that the Kingston and Crucial SSDs at a lower price have slightly or much lower Read and Write speeds and may use different NAND. I'm not going to argue semantics, you're welcome to ignore the deal if you feel it's too pricey, others may of course do the opposite.

I think this is expensive and no real price change

You're welcome to think that, but according to CamelCamel this is the cheapest it has been in months and it was also £10 more expensive yesterday through Ebuyer. So I'd state that £10 is a pretty significant price change.

1p more at Scan, if you have a preference to either retailer...

Yep spotted that right after I posted this. Definitely a good idea if you prefer Scan.

Free del at scan or here?

If you want the copy of AC, this is a better deal; you can't get AC for the £20 you'd save buying a cheaper SSD.

Took me around 2 weeks to get the game code from ebuyer so would maybe try Scan instead and see if they are better if you are bothered about that.

Good drive, annoying how prices of drives have gone up so much though, I paid £56 for this last yr

I agree..... I almost bought this exact model 6-8 months ago, exactly the same price then.
However, in all fairness to the OP these do go up and down in price, and they took the time to post it.... but sadly not a deal for me to buy at this price

I understand the situation, I know that it was previously cheaper several months ago, but I believe there were fires or some damage to the NAND producing facilities which has of course affected the selling price ala supply and demand. I know this isn't the cheapest it's ever been, but it's the cheapest it's been for a while.

Obviously I know you've seen it cheaper in the past, but I ask you to refrain from voting cold as it's the best price as it currently stands, it's the nature of the beast. Thank you for understanding.

But in terms of reliability Samsung wins hands down. There is a reason why they cost more.

Sad how overpriced SSD's are though now. I got this exact model for £55 2 years ago, still going as fast as day 1.

Can Scan Price match Ebuyer for the 1p price difference?

Good price if you want Assassins Creed. Bought the bundle a few weeks ago at £86 so hot from me

Bear in mind that Ebuyer are pretty useless when it comes to sending codes out. I had to pester them several times after waiting nearly 2 weeks for the code to be sent out. (it states it should be delivered within 7 days as part of the offer). You have to stay on them in order to get your code. Compared to CCL for example who have always sent out codes within 24 hours. In fact a friend of mine ordered the same NVMe as me from CCL and got his Origins code within the same day of picking it up.

Not sure it's entirely "overpriced" I think that certain issues have affected production such as the fires, not to mention currency exchanges and the current lower value of the pound. It all adds up. I suppose that's why you should buy when the going is good. Glad to hear your drive is still working diligently, gives me hope for mine!

Honestly you'd have to ask them, but for 1p I don't think they'd be too bothered. I must admit the DPD shipping would have been tempting had I not already been placing an order with Ebuyer.

Same here! If you value the Assassin's Creed code this works out to about the same price.

I really want to upgrade my PC/build a new one, but with the price of HDDs and GPUs at the moment it's just not happening.

Is it a PC game? If so, Steam or a disc?

It'l be a uPlay code.

You'd be lucky to pick up a copy of AC Origins for less than £35, this deal is a bargain.

Heat from me although I do miss the old days where 1Tb SSD's came free with the Daily mail.

This is a pretty good deal, I brought this model in Oct 15 for £65 from Amazon, same price on there currently without AC Origins.
You could easily get £35.00 for AC Origins by selling it on G2A

Really hoped for a 500gb ssd this price ala black friday last year.

Even it's the cheapest at the moment it doesn't necessarily mean this is the best time to buy if you are looking for a bargain as many of us are.
If your very keen yes otherwise youve got the option to wait and see.
I'm not voting either way on the deal for that reason.

when do you usually get the instructions and code for the game after you ordered?

I would like to know as well. After placing an order I realised I could go with Scan for Monday delivery + they having those codes dispatched at the same time with the package... I want to play!!!

I got my Samsung EVO 500GB for a few pence more than this from Amazon on a lightning deal. BTW it was £90 but I got a £10 refund for a late delivery......it turned up a day late.

This offer is still available on the eBuyer website, so the deal hasn't expired yet.

Has anyone received their game code yet?

Got the ssd no code as yet

I got my code by email yesterday. Assuming I was one of the first to put my order in (I put it in before I posted the deal). I'd assume everyone else should be receiving their codes in the next couple of days.

When I go to redeem this offer, it takes me to this page, where after logging in you can choose PC / XBOX / PS4. So I'm wondering if you can choose what version you want, or will it just say it's invalid if you choose anything other than 'PC'. :
