Price just dropped on Amazon again, cheapest I've seen it on there for this capacity.

The replacement 860 series was announced yesterday so expect a few deals for the older 850s now as they clear out old stock.

Yeah, I noticed the 860 evo's on Amazon for about £162 for the same capacity. Can't see it being enough of an increase in performance to make it worth paying an extra 35 quid.
Some info on the new 860's here: theregister.co.uk/201…ta/

Bottom Line: As a retail consumer, you're not going to notice any performance difference and you're unlikely to hit the endurance limits on the older drives.
Probably priced in Dollars. Strong pound should mean cheaper SSD,s
Tiptop price for size @grees00 thanks for sharing with us!

Some interesting figures, looking forward to trying one out!
Sata SSD's have reached their apotheosis , they can only really make them cheaper , be interesting to see if Samsung get on the QLC bandwagon any time soon.

12 months is a long time in pc hardware. Take a squint at gpu prices for example.
Bah ! Just been interrupted by Wifey telling me that she's got the 10p off Petrol coupon from Tesco, and turn back round to find that it's gone up to £132.98.

UPDATE - My drive is literally on a van being delivered today and I’ve just been told by Scan it’s being recalled by them as they say the listing on Amazon should have been for the 240gb not the 500gb at that price. NOT happy.🤬 Not so much as an email from them. Setting deal as expired.
