One of the top benchmarked SATA SSDs which has gone hot every week at higher prices than this!

A lot of good SSD deals this weekend (see the 960GB Sandisk deal) but you'll have a hard time finding better performance at this £/GB and with a 5 year warranty.

Not quite "LOWEST AMAZON PRICE TO DATE!", it was £90.99 on a lightning deal in late 2015. (_;)

Theoretically? Half as good. ssd.userbenchmark.com/Com…480

Real world? All SATA SSDs "feel" roughly around as quick as each other in normal use - depends if you're a slave to benchmarking or like to move a lot of data around all the time.

Unfortunately most of the other decent SSD deals expired at midnight so if you're after bang per buck then personally I'd hold out for another deal over this bank holiday weekend (NB that Kingston has been hovering around that price for 3 months so should still be there if nothing else pops up).

Getting closer to the £90 I paid in November. I wish Amazon would do another lightning deal at that price.

Very good price. I regret buying a 120gb version for £45, I can barely install one game on it after putting the operating system and a few programs on it.

Can be as low as a 3gb directory copy for some ssds to degrade

Absolutely cracking SSD - thoroughly recommend. I paid £145 in June last year, and don't regret it at all

It will fit a Mac book pro, just not the retina series. I've fitted and SSD into my father's 2010 Mac book :-)

Fitted this in my 2011 Macbook Pro and it's absolutely transformed it. My macbook feels like a new laptop, boot times are insanely quick and it's not crashed once. Got this on a black friday deal from amazon, think I paid £87.

If you have an old macbook and still have the stock hard drive get this now it's superb!

good find

I bought this back when it came out and paid so much e.g. £300 or so.

My brother wants one, and this seems like a good deal but I found it on eBay for about £103 and with the 10x nectar points...

what do you think?

Any issues with El Capitan at all

This is on eBay for cheaper right now and with 10x Nectar Points. Would you still recommend Amazon? If yes, why?

Cheaper by how much?

The biggest reason to go with Amazon is their returns process. You don't say who the company on Ebay is though, so difficult to compare.

Any seller on eBay who are advertising as "new" and showing it comes with the standard warranty, which for this I believe is 5 years. eBay buyer protection is extremely reliable so I do have a lot of confidence when buying from sellers with high feedback ratings. Should anything go wrong (barring DOA) it would be a case of contacting Samsung to deal with a replacement.

Cheers, ordered!

£3 for amazon returns is worth it IMO.

Full 5 years, I emailed Samsung customer service and received the below response:

"This is to acknowledge that I have received your email about the warranty of the SSD purchased from Amazon. I just want to confirm that the warranty still stands and is determined by the serial number attached to the product. For more details and information about the warranty of all Samsung products, you may also refer to the link below:

make it 1TB and the Pro then I'd buy it

I feel your pain. I'm toying with the 250GB version, still might be too small for me.

Now down to £105.
