Sounds like you've just been unlucky. I have several SSDs that are 6-7 years old still going strong. Warranty is decent with Samsung anyways and you can deal with them direct.

Resell the game...........to me
Nice find, shame Amazon don't seem to be offering Far Cry 5. Game should be worth around £30-35 going on what the key sites have them up for. Just avoid using eBay, it is a scammers paradise for digital items.

Would this fit HP Omen previously offered here? (One with VR headset)

It would require some disassembly but yes the 1TB HDD could be removed and this swapped over with it. Cloning the existing OS using Samsungs software or doing a fresh install would also be needed.
Great price. Very very tempted.
any idea how long it will take for the game to come through?

Good work Chanci as always. In terms of ssd reliability Samsung are the best. Still got an old 830 and 840 running strong after many years.

Don't need to, someone else bought an SSD and sold me Far Cry for £25, result
Wow thats amazing. 145 quid for ssd and far cr..... Oh wait.... Ebuyer? Ok, no Im good thanks.
Don’t really see much of an advantage of the 860 vs 850 unless you really want the game?
860 is supposed to be much more durable in terms of maintaining its speed even after months/years of heavy use.
Is the game "worth" £39? Only if you want it and would be prepared to pay £39 cash for it, or if you can get that amount of money with zero risk and zero effort selling it. Otherwise you've got to discount the risk/effort in selling it.

So many people use 'worth' when they really mean "would otherwise cost you". Quite different.
Has anyone received their order? I’ve had no word on delivery or anything?
Had one of these break in the last week, bought it nearly 2 years ago, But I bought through amazon (lucky me) for a little bit more...and without any question, they've given me a full refund! Can't put one thing wrong with their customer service. Amazing

Presumably a different model, the 860 Evo was only released a couple of months ago.
Bought two drives at the weekend and sold both keys for £30 each, nice little saving.

Sane words in a sea of age old marketing BS that is religiously swallowed on a daily basis by the gullible masses. 'Worth' when obviously subjective gets my goat every time, as does discussion on whether something can be classed as 'a deal' or not.
I just bought this from curry's, who price matched amazon (not market place) at £132. 04 (includes Farcry game). PS Anyone wondering if it's worth it, it's like changing from night to day in Windows 10 (comparing fresh install on WD mechanical drive and fresh install on Samsung SSD). Windows 10 just doesn't seem to be designed to run well on mechanical hard drives any more......

Yes a different model, however amazon customer service still stands. Avoid eBuyer.

They have a rather fast and loose approach to consumer rights when it comes to returns. There is a picture floating about from Christmas a few years back showing the returns team next to a leader board for rejected returns! I've had the most returns issues from them and Novatech over the years so try to avoid both if I can.

I've always said the true test of a retailers customer service is when things go wrong. You may get lucky and not have any faults, but I would rather give money to a retailer like Amazon that you know won't mess you around if things are less than satisfactory.
Last time I bought something from Ebuyer they used Yodel and I had to drive to the next town to pick it up
