Lowest price it's been on Amazon according to the camels, and lower than any other retailers I could find. Note that this price is a Prime Day exclusive deal, due to end at either 20:55, or sooner if it's 100% claimed.

Model name: Samsung 970 Evo NVMe SSD
Model number: MZ-V7E500BW
Capacity: 500GB
Form factor: M.2
Interface: PCIe

Also don't forget to use the £15 off £60 STUDENT15 code if you haven't already!

I put one of these in my laptop last week. Great speeds would recommend. Heat
I cant resist at this price. Heat added and thanks for posting.
Got a 960 (though the speed difference is not that noticable I am told) Superfast, brilliant as an OS drive. This capacity could fit a fair few games on also. Good for RPGs. I run Skyrim LE, full graphics and lots of mods including 4k textures, and it loads it from launch into the actual game in around 30 seconds! Perfect if you want to keep checking mods which got annoying on my old laptop. Would recommend!

Heat!

I was crossing my fingers for the 1TB Pro
Got an MX100 which is 4 years old now...is this worth the steep cost? Doesn't seem like a huuugee discount.

Drives of this category such as the 960 Evo were about £200 a few months ago so it is a good deal. Just depends if you think it's worth it Vs a SATA drive or a lesser NVME drive

Personally I would consider it worth it, but only if your hardware supports the faster PCIe interface and you use your computer/laptop for read/write heavy activities. If your system only supports up to SATA III, or you don't really use your computer for relevant tasks, then it won't be worth it as you won't achieve or see the benefit from the higher read/write speeds advertised.
Thanks OP, went for it!
