    Hi Personally Id avoid anything less than 1TB as that is the general standard in storage. the little extra in price difference and that extra storage will save you a lot of time hassle and money in the long run.

    "General standard in storage"? Where is that "standard" written? Can you post a link?

    500GB is plenty for the majority of users who aren't interested in installing lots of games or doing video editing, and even a cursory glance at prebuilt PCs under £1000 shows 500GB is far more common than 1TB.

    I agree to an extent - if you can get a 1TB SSD for £5 more than this (and you're in the 95% of users who really aren't going to notice the difference between this and a budget brand) then you may as well, but comparing like for like, a 1TB 980 is £40 more - that's not a little extra in price either in percentage terms or actual cost.
