Saw this offer on Currys site, there is currently a £50 cashback offer from Samsung to redeem. Currys will also offer trade ins on old smartwatches and bands - I traded in a Xiaomi mi band 4 for a £55 voucher toward this, meaning I'm going to be paying £184 for this all in.

Any clue what a Mii band 3 is worth?

Any clue what a Mii band 3 is worth?

They put mine down as "other smartwatches" as it wasn't listed. Mine was fully working with charger - so I'd expect them to offer you £55 (£5 for normal trade in, and £50 boost if you're buying this watch). They give you a printed out gift card which you can use online or instore- but only against a galaxy active 2.

You can get this watch for 260 with student discount on Samsung. Will currys match that on top of the trade in and Samsung cashback afterwards

Worth asking the question, not sure if they match student discounts or just full price
Anyone know if this recognizes football (soccer) as an activity? I've got gear fit 2 pro and the galaxy watch and neither do. Considering the amount of people that play 5 a side etc really surprised Samsung not got it down as an activity on the watch. Old fitbit had it

Unfortunately No it doesn’t have football as I was looking into this a couple weeks ago, football has unique movements which the watch can’t recognise. It only recognises repetitive actions and movements

Cheers, Samsung still in dark ages, got the old charge 2 out recently and thought might start wearing it for footy as it just picks it up. Shame the apps can't share info. Think Google bought fitbit so be interesting to see what they come out with
Cheers for this. I purchased the galaxy active 1 this morning...

Received trade in for Mii band 3.

Then used gift vouchers that got me 7% off and because it wasn't in stock, they ordered online for delivery into store

Got home and then got them to price match with Amazon, then 30 cashback with Samsung

So total cost will be 93... Sweet

Nice one - guessing this was the active watch - rather than active watch 2?
Isn't this same when purchased from Samsung directly?

Misc watches - £16 trade in too..

I don't think you can claim the £50 cashback from Samsung, only from the retailers listed (amazon/currys/etc). Also Currys give you more for trade in by the looks of it at least another £50.

Galaxy watch and Galaxy watch active alone?

Might be watch active 2 too? Doesn't mention clearly In t&c
Fair enough, Samsung wasn't on the list i looked at. Makes sense they are included! Currys trade in definitely valid on Active Watch 2 as well - I did this.

That's a great idea! The only question I still have is... there is any way to check if Curry will accept my new fitness band/smart band? I don't think they will accept everything... there must be some "requirements" for model and grade.

Mine wasn't on their list, but they still did the trade in. I guess that's the risk that you buy something and they don't accept. Mine had no marks on screen or dead pixels or anything, so I think a beat up old watch might get rejected.

Yeah but where is the list? This is what I cannot find..
Hey - basically their list is on their system and it's not shared. They look for your smart watch on their system and they have pre-defined trade in prices based on the watch. If it's not on the system, then you ask them to put it under other smartwatch and the value associated with this is £5. If you buy a Galaxy Active, they then give you an extra £50, so in my case with the mii band 3 I got a £5 trade in and a total £55 off...if you trade in a decent smartwatch then you'll get more off but only currys will be able to tell you the trade in value when you get into store...
