Product features

  • Spin speed: 1400 rpm

  • Energy rating: A+++

Transforming the way you wash your garments, the Samsung AddWash WW80K5410UX 8 kg 1400 Spin Washing Machine combines original design with contemporary looks.

AddWash

Samsung's innovative AddWash door lets you quickly drop in anything extra at any time during the wash program – whether it's a stray sock that got dropped, hand-washed items for a final rinse or extra softener.

Simply pause the program, and using the extra door located on the upper part of the main door, you can easily add missing clothes or extra detergent without the worry of having to open the main door.

For extra peace of mind, the AddWash door is fitted with a child lock to prevent young children from accidently opening it.

ecobubble

Wash more efficiently thanks to ecobubble technology. Creating a froth before the cycle starts, ecobubble generates small bubbles to penetrate fabrics more effectively, so a cool wash is just as effective as a warm wash.

The ecobubble has an A+++ energy rating to help you keep monthly bills down.

Bubble soak

Bubble Soak takes the worry out of removing stubborn stains from your clothing. Rather than soak your clothes in potentially harmful chemicals, stains are loosened by bubbles to make them easier to remove in a normal wash.

Digital inverter motor

The Samsung AddWash Washing Machine uses a digital inverter motor that enhances energy efficiency while reducing noise and improving appliance durability. It's guaranteed for 10 years, so you can rest assured of its quality.

Samsung Smart Check

You won't need to call for repairs with the WW80K5410UX, which allows you to use your smartphone to check for problems using the Samsung Smart Washer app.

Smart Check detects and diagnoses any problems as soon as they happen, and provides troubleshooting and solutions for your machine - all you need is a smartphone with LED scanning.

Please note:
AddWash door can only be opened when the drum temperature is below 50°.

Achieves this by having a slow spin speed, leaving you with wetter clothes that cost you more to dry.
Just pay extra and get a Miele. Samsung shoud stick to phones and tv's thats their main market
How do you add the code? Doesnt it only work when you spend more than £600?

Lower speeds no longer mean wetter washes the spin is just more efficient. .

would I buy a Samsung no, had two recently first had a design fault Which was confirmed with the second one which broke after 2 washes Samsung customer service was woeful and needed the CEO team to get us sorted on both occasions and a refund after the second machine.

incorrect. For several reasons.

my clothes come out almost dry after a wash in this machine. better than my old machine that had a higher spin speed.
it only costs more to dry if you use a tumble dryer. Many don't - myself included.

had this for 2 years, think its brilliant. Miele - you are just paying for the name.I had a Miele dishwasher once, vowed never again, bosch was much better.
A 1600rpm spin will always get clothes dryer than a 1400rpm spim, it's simple physics... It's a centrifuge.

Drying always costs money, unless you dry outdoors.

You are right - it is simple physics, but you haven't taken into account surface area in a bigger kilo drum. it makes a difference.

This is a smaller drum than my 1600 spin washer, which do you think gets heavy cotton dry the best?

Comparing like with like, faster spin is better.

Again. It isn't that simple on a long term analysis though, sadly. And there are too many variables.

A machine with a higher speed will have a shorter life span generally, so the money you allegedly save on having drier clothes is negated against a shorter lifespan of machine.

Also, 1400 Vs 1600 is such a teeny minor difference in dryness of clothes, it's not even a factor really worth considering.

You're clutching at straws here. Lifespan etc all just nonsense. You're just drawing *facts "from thin air.

Why so desperate to prove that an inferior washer is better?

I had a bosch washer dryer and the biggest mistake ever, broke down 7 times in 2 years and the low to mid end range stuff is made in Poland. I ended up scrapping it after 2 years, after a new bearing kit, new motor, 3 new seals and then the main board went and bosch didnt want to pay as just out of warranty.

Oh dear. So because something is made in Poland it must be bad? And "keep the wife sweet".

Are you trying to come across bigoted or was it an accident?

Where as Miele is machines are made in the UK and solid and really quiet! Cant comment on miele dishwasher never had one.

Washer dryers are generally rubbish anyway. Hence most people owning separate products.

Read it. It's not just me. The extra money just isn't worth it.

Keep kidding yourself that your money was well spent, even though it wasn't. And if you don't want or need this machine, what's the point of this anyway?

I've given honest feedback about this exact machine - it's brilliant. I've had it years, it hasn't broken, stuff comes out clean and nearly dry, it's very energy efficient and cheap. Ticks virtually every box, so hopefully that will help someone thinking of buying it.

And 1400 isn't exactly slow either, it's better than plenty of other machines available. And like the article shows, sometimes it makes just a 2 percent difference in dampness. Not worth it.

Bye!

Old article, full of out of date pricing and speculation. It doesn't even show a 2 percent difference anywhere in the article, think you just made that up.

Electricity pricing is almost double that now and continues to rise. Global warming is still a concern and using less energy is critical to help prevent this. This is the best end of the 1400rpm AAA washers - it does at least have an A rated spin - but you could do way better on the energy side of things. It's not all about the up front cost.

It's the thrill of the high spin cycle on these that pleases, or so I've heard.
Back to £649 I'll expire it.
