Same price as Hughes were selling these for a month ago.

These were £369 when they were first released and are great value at £89.
They support Spotify Connect, bluetooth, wifi and have an AUX input.

I have one of these and its bigger brother the VL550, (Available for £199 from Currys.)

I use them to listen to Spotify/Amazon Music via the apps in my Samsung TV. Compatible Samsung TVs can connect to up to 5 of these speakers wirelessly for surround sound - I use them in stereo and it works pretty well.

Apart from connecting via a Samsung TV the wifi app (SmartThings) only supports Deezer and TuneUp (radio) so if you do not use either of these or have Spotify Premium (for Spotify Connect) then these speakers will be for bluetooth/AUX in.

Great price, heat added. I also have the VL550, can’t believe how much the price has dropped, they were £600 when first released late last year! I bought mine in the US as it was much cheaper at the time, but £200 seems crazy!

I think that Samsung were being "optimistic" with their UK pricing. In the US the VL550 was launched at $400 (plus sales tax) which would normally equate to a UK price of £400. (The VL350 was launched at $250). Instead the VL550 was launched at the end of 2018 at £600 in the UK and the VL350 at £400. The VL550 is a great speaker - and much better than the VL350 if you have the money and space for it - but it was never worth £600.

Here are some professional reviews of the VL550. (Nobody seems to have reviewed the VL350)

Now the VL range seem to have been a failure for Samsung and are now half their original price even on Samsungs own website.

Hi All, can one play content stored on one's phone (note9)? I have two august ws300's, which allow this, but the app is nowhere near as refined as the mighty Sonos one.

Considering the reduction from the over inflated original price, these are a quality bargain. Thanks for posting

You can stream from your phone via bluetooth to one of these speakers.

Theoretically you can put multiple VL speakers together into an Audio Group and have the sound come out from multiple speakers simultaneously. This only works with wifi though - not bluetooth.

In practice this does not work with my VL350 and VL550. Although it is not such a big issue for me as my Samsung TV can connect to a Left and Right speaker simultaneously and this does work. Once I get the second VL350 though I will see if it works with two VL350s.

I am in an email discussion with SmartThings about getting the Audio Group functionality fixed. Apparently the application logs that I have sent them have been helpful in identifying the problem but they don't know when it will be fixed.
