I think it runs on the old internet@TV platform similar to my 2010 Samsung C7000 plasma. iplayer and youtube should still be present and functional, but the 4oD app has been pulled (certainly from my old tv)

Buy this on the basis of it being a blu-ray player. Internet@TV was pretty awful back in 2010.

this isnt a refurbishment is it? new I hope?

5 year old model that's why it's cheap

Hotter than a hot thing! Just what I was after, cheers for posting this OP.

I have a chromecast, Smart TV, and my phone streams most of the content I need. What difference does it make that it's an old model other than the Smart features? I've not seen a 3d player anywhere near this price...

It's not a misprice. Modern blu-ray players with more up to date features are about 50 quid. It probably did retail for £200 back in 2010, but that was a long time ago.

£300 was the price and still £200 online now

Not sure why anyone would want to drop £200 on a five year old blu-ray player, but fair enough.

Thanks OP, just ordered one. I really want to know what the "Samsung Apps" are that are installed on it. I'm hoping Netflix etc then I can get rid of my Chromecast and free up a HDMI port.

My newer Samsung player is region 2/B which is Europe.

Awesome deal

One advantage of it being 5 years old is that its unlikely to have Cinavia built it

will this hook straight up to a Optoma HD141X 3D projector ?

My parents just got a whizzy 3d tv and want to play the odd 3d blu Ray film so should be perfect for this

Are these new or refurbished ?
Unlikely to have 5 year old stock still floating about.

Ordered one, but doubt very much it will be honored! There's another seller who has 998 pieces in stock. Where do you find 998 unused 5 year old Blu-Ray players?

Cinavia --- Samsung BD-C6900 up until firmware version BSP-C6900WWB-1018.1

after that it has it enabled

--------

Upgrade File(USB type) (Firmware) ver.1025.0 - All OS (EN, 85.08 MB) ? Mar 14, 2013 has cinavia enabled this is the latest firmware on Samsung site.

This may sound controversial, but perhaps from Samsung?

listed as new not used mine are being despatched already so looks like its going through

only thing that may be worrying is the name of the seller sounds like refurb to me

I've seen caveman paintings of newer models than this....

This is very old - there are reviews from 2010.
