Right, now I know these have been a bit cheaper recently but I do think this is worth a shout again with a new code giving 20% off, in case you missed the Black Friday offers. The 10 bluray bundle still works out really well and for a few quid more it's not really a deal breaker in my opinion.

I got my calculator out of my pencil case and found that each BR works out £6.40 (6.399 ) Then obviously you get the player with it, which is £59 elsewhere.

Code = HDHA0420

Samsung Blu-ray Player BD-J5500 + 10 Blu-rays £63.99 w/code HDHA0420

Movies included

- Fast and Furious - Extended Edition
- Gladiator - 15th Anniversary Edition
- Jaws
- Jurassic World
- Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation
- Nocturnal Animals
- Oblivion
- Terminator: Genisys

- Warcraft

Here comes my calculator again...

The player is at least £119 elsewhere from what I can see. Making the UHD movies about £8.20 each.

Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Player + 5 UHDs £159.99 w/code HDHA0420

Yeah this really sucks...I'm thinking I might as well get a xbox instead of a 4k blu ray player...anybody got any reasons why this isn't a good idea?

I'd agree with this. I ordered and paid for my 4k bundle on 18th November - it still hasn't arrived. They said it's with their 'trusted partner' Whistl for delivery. I asked for a tracking number, they said they didn't have one. I live in France. Can you tell me of any other company who sends items like this internationally and DOESN'T use a tracking number? Absolute bobbins. I'm glad I paid with Paypal. Have reordered on the player on Amazon with the 29.99 4 films bundle as that works out almost the same price. Plus Amazon are professionals which these guys seem not to be at all.

Films are gash.

Lots of good films there.

Yes the Xbox plays blu rays but it internally encodes YCbCr into RBG before it goes to the TV, the problem here is the Xbox One encodes an incorrect colour matrix, this means it doesn't reproduce the colours accurately, sure it looks good but it's not correct, the Xbox One does have a Ycc 422 option which is meant to provide an YCbCr signal to the TV, the problem is the Xbox One still incorrectly encodes YCbCr to RBG then back to YCbCr and the colour matrix is still wrong.

All standalone blu ray players output a YCbCr signal in which the TV correctly encodes to a RBG signal which means colour reproduction is accurate from the blu ray player. Four years after release of a known problem and appearing in the newer console (yes the Xbox One X has the same problem) I don't think this can be patched. In short it's better to buy a standalone UHD blu ray player for movies than to buy an Xbox for its UHD blu ray player to play movies.

Excellent info thanks

Great price!!! and a rare Which? Best Buy!!! One caveat, it's unlikely that this model can be made region free for playing DVDs so bear this in mind if you have a multitude of DVD discs from various regions.

Spot on. More people should be aware of this there is a noticeable difference between playback from a standalone player and an Xbox, I saw a video comparison between a cheap UHD blu ray player and an Xbox One X and the difference was much larger than I expected. The colours on the Xbox just looked off and too vibrant.

Do the Blu Rays come with the player, or do you need to send off for them like on some similar deals I've seen in the past. Wanted to get it as a gift, but don't want to mess about with sending off for discs.

They come with the package.I bought it and it's a pretty decent player as well.
