Not the best 27" 1440p monitor but for this price it really is pretty decent. Just keep in mind this does not have freesync.

Good find
I'm assuming it would come with a european plug, yea? I've bought 2 of these to replace my Dell 1080p 27 inches.
No freesync is not worth buying for me.

Yes it would.
It's a good price for the pixels, screen size and refresh rate.

However, it's cheap for a reason: 5ms response times, visible ghosting and no freesync (screen tearing issues) mean it's not a good investment.

It is no different to a monitor advertising 1ms response time. The grey to grey is never 1ms unless its a TN or has extremely aggressive overdrive settings which in the real world you would never use due to inverse ghosting.

Most VA/IPS monitors tend to have an average response time in the 5 to 7ms range and to get an effective 144hz it needs to be around 6.5ms or lower. Unless you plan to use this for high level competitive play it is perfectly fine trust me. VA monitors do suffer from dark colour smearing but it really isn't too bad for the most part. Lack of freesync sucks but I currently run with adaptive sync disabled and haven't come across any tearing outside of a few Unreal 3 games which are themselves pretty old.

Listing error most likely, these do not have freesync which is definitely a strange omission by Samsung. Nonetheless the rest of the specs are good for the price.

Extra £50 on the Acer WQHD 144Hz IPS might be a better buy:

Those have some QC with pretty bad light bleed, I would avoid. You also can't use overdrive modes for lower response times with Freesync so it defeats the purpose of 144hz when their response time is much lower than required to have a true 144hz refresh rate.

This for an extra £50 is a better pick in my opinion. scan.co.uk/pro…als

I've had a play with a different monitor with the same panel, you need to play around with a few settings to get the best out of it. Still looking forward to getting mine in. If you're unsure about Scan just wait until Amazon has theirs in stock again as it has come in and out of stock a couple of times.

No it was available when I posted it with free delivery. Sold out again I guess. Amazon also had stock for about a week but gone now too.
