Needs to be 2160p for that price

Good luck playing any decent games if you want 2160p at 120hz
I'd use it in portrait mode .. for phone emulation.

What a nice bit of kit
You will soon get a pain in your neck using this
Wowza!
21:9 isn’t limit, but tbh 16:10 is the best
but why would you want this
Need a bigger desk
Hideous
Great for using several Excel spreadsheets at the same time. Will it be cheaper on Black Friday?
These gantt charts are gonna look sick at 120Hz

I nearly bought this at £1000 this is getting very tempting..... Can I hold out for a lower price!
Perfect for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Just bought it, thanks.

It really doesn't.
1440 at that height is the sweet spot.
With the width, this is pushing 7.3m pixels, 4k is 8.3m. This at 2160 would be 11m pixels, good luck getting more than 60fps with that, let alone close to the 120 that it supports.

Good price for a great screen, Very Tempted.

I'd have to agree. 1440p is the PC gaming sweet spot in general at the moment

It would be double the price if it was 2160 vertical and pretty much unusable for gaming making the 120hz useless. This is the first year where the super ultrawide are even starting to touch this resolution without significant compromise. Your understanding of what monitors cost is way off.

Also for gaming 1440p is definitely the sweet spot when combined with higher refresh. 4k60hz isn't an ideal it's just the minimum, if I was in the market I would have one of these any day.

2160 would also be impossible over displayport 1.4 at 120hz. In fact this display only does 100hz at 10-bit colour because DP1.4 can't handle it. It would need two Displayports like some of the old 5k monitors did with DP1.2

2160p doesn't scale well for 27" monitors (this is effectively two of them stuck side by side) when you're working in Windows. 1440p is about right. 2160p is too small and integer scaling leaves effectively 1080p. You'd have to scale 150% which leaves Windows feeling slightly blurry.

Maybe depends on the games but it doesn't seem practical playing on something so wide

It's not my actions that are an issue, I'm told it's my altitude.
Damn I want this but little out my price range plus my desk is too small
Happy with my 34" ultra wide and 27" standard

Good price - Just got this yesterday for £1040 from ebuyer..

£120 drop in 1 day is annoying, but it's a beast of a monitor.
Went from 3 x FHD 24"s to this but it's fab for fps and simulators.

It's fine for stuff like that. Excel looks great and the 1440 means less scrolling up/down. The included samsung software to manage screen layouts is good, but makes my PC a bit laggy. I'll find something else to use that's better but for the moment it's fine.

It is very WIDE but I like to see more to the sides when gaming so it's perfect for that. I also do scripting so the 1440 helps with that too.
You can always use windows 100%-125%-150% etc to make things bigger if you need to, or zoom in excel with the CTRL and roll wheel but I've been okay using it at the default settings.

I would say that blacks don't look totally black, more washed out black, but that could just be the brightness settings etc as I haven't had time to tinker yet.
(edit, thats' cos i had HDR enabled, and brightness on 100! lol.. looks fine now)

just wondering for me if 49inch or 43 would be best, i'll just be using it for work tbh! or maybe even the lower res spec? but not sure if it will be as good for reading excel sheets - thanks for your help
This looks Ultra tasty.... Shame its not an IPS display but i think i would look past that due to the HDR1000, 125% sRGB and 92% Adobe RGB, I have been looking for the perfect ultrawide for Colour accurate work (photo and video editing) and high frame rate gaming so this might be the best solution so far. Especially as it is offering me to pay in monthly payments of £186 for 5 months..... hmmmmmm
Ebuyer now have it at £924.99. So close to Black Friday... holding my nerve for now...

Also on Amazon for £924.99 now, seems like they are both competing against eachother on price. I'm also holding off untill black Friday too..
