This is the lowest price I have seen this monitor. Almost £20 cheaper than the previous lowest prices (of £219.99) from Argos, John Lewis, PC World and Amazon in previous weeks.

Thanks. It seems like an almost perfect find but unfortunately they don't offer in-store collection or next day delivery, only the free 5 day delivery. Still, a great price for a well reviewed monitor.
The major point of this monitor is the refresh rate, panel type and response time. When 4k/144hz monitors do release later this year they will likely cost near to £2000. A 4k/144hz monitor would be nice for this price, but unfortunately won't available for many years.
Although I do completely agree that the curve isn't of huge benefit for such a small screen size.
I think I've gone blind to it tbh. I have a 4k IPS LG monitor and use my ROG swift as a side monitor which a complete waste really.
Although It's much smoother I prefer the colours of the IPS. The main games I play inc. dota 2 just don't feel different enough to justify using it. CSGO or others fps would be perfect though. Come to think of it, I may as well sell it and get a cheapy side monitor lol
HUKD comment.
What's wrong with an ultradwide monitor with 1080 vertical resolution?

Nice, I was trying to decide between one of these and the Viewsonic XG2401 on Prime Day, but the only Sammies in the warehouse were scratched all over (and more expensive than this deal). Heat.
Yes and yes. There are more MiniDP to DP cables on Amazon than there are DP to DP! If you intend to hit 144hz though you want to look closely at the product info, quite a number of the cables won't support it (for reasons I can't discover). It's been a thorough pain trying to find a slightly longer DP cable for me lol (the XG comes with a 1.5m cable and I really need about 30cm more (_;) ). I think you could try a Startech cable, I believe they are VESA certified, or maybe look for Bizlink derived cable brands like Accell . I hope that info's good, I was pretty pooped by the time I started finding it!
If in stock that does look like a great deal. What is return policy like at John Lewis, is it as good as Amazon's "no questions asked, we even pay for return shipping" policy?
According to camelcamelcamel, the lowest price it has ever been on Amazon was 219.99, not 199.99...
yes my mistake I did pay 219.99 well actually amazon sent me one and the box had been opened. I phoned them they had none left so the refunded me £50 off it. its been perfect last 3 weeks. so I got it for 169.99
Ah nice, an even better price then
I've read some people report that text looks funny on this monitor, like grainy/pixelated. Could you confirm or deny that?
all text on witcher 3 goty/skyrim/overwatch/ and about another 35 games ive played in last weeks were perfect bought 50 in steam summer sale
Not quite as good as before, used to be 90 days, now something like 40 days return policy. I believe returns are free as they supply you with free return postage label, or you can just take it into a store, any branch. I do believe the quality of JL's customer service is quite inconsistent
Will expire offer.
Makes me wonder if the previous price was clearing old stock, and this higher price is new stock
I ordered one and it is new stock as manufacturer date was March 2017, excellent monitor. I wish I had ordered a second with the £10 off Argos voucher now but grateful I got one at this price. I was waiting to see what the monitor was like first before ordering a second as I went through quite a few new monitors lately that I didn't think were worth money paid from 240hz to 4k monitors and finally found one I will keep. The arm works great for keeping cables tidy. Let hope the price comes back down.
Glad to hear you bought one. Ironically, even though I saw the deal first and posted it here, I didn't buy one from Argos as it was oos. I got one from amazon instead and do agree the monitor is great. Mine is from Dec 2016, but I can't see any issues with it so far.
