I would be more inclined to trust the Samsung website for any model descriptions. That said, looking at the listing, you can clearly see a USIM card slot, just along from the DC in, HDMI, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 ports. Whether or not it is functional is another matter.

good luck more like see the world through them eyes

Tesco eBay Outlet is constantly misadvertising their items..I wouldn't trust them

Hot deal - it's a lot of machine for £125. I had one of these that went back to Amazon a few years ago - I'd urge caution as the processor in these is the weak link. Expect long page render times and lots of chequerboard backgrounds whilst pages reload. I'm a big fan of Chromebooks however I'd stick to Intel powered ones. Still a hot deal though :-)

Get the refurb'ed C720 from the tesco outlet for just £4 more instead! MUCH better value (way more powerful).

good price but half the reason to get chromebook is for the 1Tb of free cloud space

Both the 3G and non-3G models have a SIM slot on the rear panel under a flap. The non-3G models are blocked with a rubber insert.

The XE303C12-A01 is the non-3G model designation
The XE303C12-H01 is the 3G equipped model designation

This is listed as a H01, so it should be 3G, in which case it's a very good deal.

The Exynos isn't very good. I wouldn't buy one of these.

Different Chromebook, but the same SoC family;

Samsung did almost everything right. The Chromebook 2 has a nice, … Samsung did almost everything right. The Chromebook 2 has a nice, leathery build; it’s thin and light and actually quite attractive; it has a good, roomy keyboard and a big, responsive trackpad; and it never gets loud or hot. But the reason all that is possible is also the Chromebook 2’s crippling flaw: with Samsung’s Exynos processor inside, this laptop runs more like a tablet or a smartphone. It just can't get work done the way a good Chromebook, or ever a decent one, can.

At its best, Samsung strikes the exact right balance of price and … At its best, Samsung strikes the exact right balance of price and quality. But it picked the wrong processor. The Chromebook 2 uses Samsung’s latest Exynos 5 chip (clocked a little faster on the larger model but otherwise identical on both), along with 4GB of RAM and a 16GB hard drive. That makes it essentially a smartphone in a laptop’s body — and it performs like one. It does fine as long as I’m only doing one thing at a time, but as soon as I open a bunch of tabs in rapid succession or try to stream music while I power through my RSS feeds, the Chromebook 2 starts to chug. It’s never slow, really, just consistently two beats behind. Even loading three tabs at the same time seemed to strain this unflinching unitasker of a machine.

isn't this only for a year though? then a subscription is required? in theory the online storage is only worth the frat year subscription. Not worth buying new

Agree. Recently bought a NOW TV refurb advertised with a 6 month entertainment pass which turned out to be a 4 month pass when it arrived. Give them their due they suggested a 50% refund when I emailed them which I accepted and they said they were having trouble with the listing but it would be updated.

Checked and it still said 6 month. oO

Thanks for the info, ive ordered one, if nothing more ill get a discount if it has no 3g as its miss advertised then :-)

if I look in ebay I find:Acer C720-2827 Intel Celeron 2GB Memory 16GB SSD 11.6" Chromebook

For £119.99 from simply_savings. Us this a better chromebook and price?

I would love a Toshiba Chromebook 2 but despite being available in the US since October, there is no release date for the UK yet. Tried contacting Toshiba by email and Twitter, but they won't reply. Best guesses have it at around February to March, so if you can wait another 2-3 months without a computer, then great. I've been two weeks since mine died and frankly, it's been crap.

You actually get 1TB not 1Tb. (_;)

then a subscription is required?

Yes, if you want to be able to save files to your Google Drive after the promotion ends.

What some people do though is redeem the offer using a different Google account to their main account and then share the space with themselves. This lets them keep whatever is stored on the other Google Drive while still being able to save files on their main Google account once the promotion ends.

Definitely! This is one of the slowest Chromebooks still available.

Not all of them. The 1TB offer also ends at midnight tonight. After that I think it will revert back to 100GB.

OK Chromebook let down by poor CPU performance, I've used one but it son got tedious to use. Not that great a buy for £125 once you hit the lag.

Not sure why this deal is so hot. Sluggish performance mentioned in every review I ever read, and I seem to remember no one liked the screen keyboard or track pad either.

this looks good

Sorry to be a little gloomy, but a note of caution.
Chrome is a memory hungry old thing, & requires 4GB to run efficiently.
There's a reason 2GB Chromebooks have almost disappeared in the wild.

I picked this gem up from John Lewis for £99 with their 2 year guarantee! Bargain

Ordered one, it arrived fairly quickly, rubber insert was over the phone sim slot so not 3g enabled even though they stated the model was. They wer'nt prepared to reduce or replace with the correct chromebook so its being sent back at their expense
