Does it end up being £69 after the cash back?

OP you need to tell us where we can buy the printer at this price

I think he means the £99 at ebuyer price less the £30 cashback. Lukewarm deal and poor post.

The black version looks really beautiful.
It's called Samsung CLP-315 I think.

Thanks matey. Ebuyer is banned so can't link it. And if you find me a colour laser printer for £69, well done to you...

so is this thing any good?
when they ask for proof of purchase what picture do they want you to attach?
A picture of you holding the printer or just a copy of your receipt?

I posted a PDF of the order to Ebuyer. Nothing back from Samsung to tell me if it is good enough.

I thought so.

Before buying check how much the toners are going to set you back. These don't normally come with full tonner cartridges.

Just did it last night nothing to get worried about yet. Got the printer this morning and I am amazed at the print quality for pictures. Silent too. Good buy I think for £69.00

Really don't they?

I mean 20,000 pages on a full toner how do you know if doesn't come with a full toner then?

The replacement is tricky

I see magenta, black, yellow and cyan here all for roughly £33
do you think all three need to be replaced separately? Hope not!

How is it going then?

Really good print quality on colour then? Is it really that small? I heard it is the world's smallest laserjet printer.

I'm so very tempted hope it lasts out at this price until next week.

Btw when you get your money back how long will it take and do they send a cheque?

This printer comes with a "trial cartridge"

It needs 4 different toners

black
cyan, yellow and magenta

could last 100 prints or 1000
still a good deal though.

Got my £30 cheque on 14/05 - Pretty quick Tahnks Samsung!

A full set of replacement toner is about £60 for compatibles. Over £110 for Samsung originals.

They only print 1000 colour pages and 2000 black. These figures are not for full page photos either - you would get significantly less than this if printing a lot of photos.

The starter toner are likely to be half filled - so after a one ream of paper you would be needing new toners that cost more than the printer did.

This printer is more expensive to run than an inkjet !!

can i use a machine like this to print labels or would banding appear?

Yup. If memory serves, a page in toner or ink terms = about 5% coverage. So, 5% of an A4 page measuring about 27x19cm after taking out the borders, that's about 500cm2 of paper and 25cm2 of printed area. A thousand A4 pages of toner therefore = about 50 A4 photographs, excluding the borders. Admittedly, I got practically zero sleep last night and these numbers are likely to be waaaaay out, but it's probably worth taking them into account before splashing out on a printer, especially since it's usually much cheaper to use Boots for photo printouts.

OP

Cheers - ordered one of these now

Heat and rep added

I bought this a few weeks ago from ebuyer when it was last posted on here. I was not impressed with the quality and it was haemorraging toner. Either there was very little toner in it, or thats the way the machine operated. I returned this back to ebuyer for a refund. They promptly told me that I had got a faulty machine.

I think the starter cartridges have next to no toner in them, so they may as well give away the printers and it would still work out quite expensive.

I have the CLP 315 - other than the colour (black) I believe it's the same thing. This should answer some of the points raised here:

Smallest colour laser maybe - but still a substantial piece of kit so needs space.
Bought for £99 when launched in PCW last year and it's now £127 everywhere I've seen it, so £69 is a fantastic price.
Excellent little printer, but you really wouldn't want to use a laser as a photo printer - basic inkjet would beat it for picture quality.
Supplied toners are only part filled, but not ridiculously so - lasted me a good few weeks of domestic use.
A set of replacement Samsung toners is over £150! About £37 for the colours and £43 for the black. Yes, you replace one at a time. I'd be very wary of non-original or refilled cartridges as they can easily ruin the printer (past experience!). However, there is currently a supply problem with toners and local suppliers haven't had black ones for weeks. Fortunately I have a small stock of them.
Quiet, fast (once warmed up) and reliable, but can be fussy about paper.

After 6 months or so of regular use I haven't regretted my purchase at all.

I got this from here the £30 cash back made me get it.

It will be quite expensive to change the cartridges you actually need to change them all , black, yellow, cyan and magenta. Each one is roughly £30 but not official ones.

I am pleased with the printer though it still needs a lot of space, it is quiet for a laserjet in operation. The colour quality is good to brilliant, the greyscale printing is efficiently fast overall you can be chuffed at the price of £69.

now samsung send me that damn cheque!

lucky you

Still waiting here

isn't 4 pages per minute slow for a laser printer?

Now i just have to remember to select grayscale for my printouts by default else, run out of colour fast.

I havent installed it yet and hope its good for labels.

I don't think one needs to get personal. He is only trying to help
I have had a Samsung laser printer for years. Well made and the cheaper option is to by the inks from a 3rd party and refill your cartridges.
I got mine from the US and am still waiting to use the second batch.

This printer is so heavy. :P I couldn't move it when I had to install the scanner next to it so I had to ask for help. >.>

Hi there folks.

This deal is for a while now, I got my printer for about 5-6 weeks now, have printed quite a lot colour pages
(well lets be honest about 250-300 pages)
and to be honest when I check the cartridges status about

black 15% is gone,
magenta 10% gone
cyan about 10% gone
yellow about 8% gone

I reckon it will easily do at least 2500-3000 because the ones I printed were quite consuming as there was lot pictures.

Quality of the prints is not amazing but is very good still. Of course this is not photo printer! And you can not use glossy/photo paper on it- it will invalidate your warranty.

In terms of printer is nice, quite and small. Good one. The only bad side is that is lazy ;-) I mean is sleeping and when I want to print sometimes is not waking up first time (docs are queuing)- need to shut down and on to wake up- but at least is not consuming much energy though..
also cancel button is not reacting- printer will print anyway...

In terms of cash back- there is not any confirmation from Samsung but I got my cash back Friday so you must be patient for at least 3-4 weeks. Anyway if need to call them there are nice people and able to check the progress of your claim straight away.

So it is HOT!

It's certainly a hot price but boy those toner prices bite. Home printing for photos is looking less and less attractive every year as the printing costs rise. Strange when electronics continue to get cheaper overall. Obviously not ideal for printing photos but then why bother with colour at all. Imagery has to be part of your plan with a colour laser printer surely?

I think I'd stick with a B/W laser if you could source original toners at a good price. This just doesn't seem like a great solution for printing in colour with running costs like that, or having to risk third party toners that could smite the printer.

I'm with you there - my next printer will be a B&W laser. Colour photos will be outsourced to Boots or Asda.

Think I might go for one of these to clean up my desk space. Put my B&W Samsung laser and Epson inkjet on Ebay. I bought the inkjet to do pictures but as I now get them printed at Pixum, pics arrive from Germany in around 48 hours, its a bit surplus to requirements. And if I got rid of my fax machine, not sure when I last received, or sent, a fax I would have more desk space than ever, the way to go:-D

Have been looking around and now considering the HP CP1215. Its available at Amazon for £122.02, odd price I know. Currently HP have a £40 cashback on this printer till end of July.
I think £82.02 not a bad deal for a printer like this:thumbsup:

God at times I wish I had never heard of Hot Deals:-D only joking.
Am now considering the HP CP2025n available at Dixons with a 3% discount for
£245.44 delivered. Plus HP are giving £90 cashback on this so giving a price of £155.44 Quite a bargain me thinks.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

might buy this in the future thanks, how much print do you get from the supplied toner? And how much are the replacment toners in total? thanks in advance

Ordered it, dunno if it'll come in time

After purchasing the printer with only 2 days before the stated 30th June deadline I was worried that I may not get my proof of purchase on time for the cashback.
Not to worry, this deal ended on 30th May; 30th June was the date to have the application submitter but you had to buy the printer before 30th May.
Wish I'd read the smallprint in the Terms and Conditions before buying printer.
:x

same here i was 2 days late, now i dunno what to do with the printer its unopened
