Yes, it is SD.

More specifications on Comets: comet.co.uk/sho…ion

I found another site claiming that it also takes SDHC - I'd get one if I can confirm that!

LetsGoDigital and a few other sites all list it as SD and SDHD

Cant seem to find any reviews for this camera, but seems a good price for the spec.

My friend used to have one similar to this, went through AA batteries is no time! Shame really.

bought this camera for my summer holidays, it does indeed take SDHC and is a brilliant all round camera, wont find any better for the price. but it does go through the batteries pretty quickly

great deal

Surely some hybrid rechargeable would sort that out?

Does anyone know which one of these is better. This one on this post or the one below from a previous post. Sorry i dont know how to link to it.

I would go for the Sony.

One can't expect any better for a £50 camera. And from experience (with another Samsung model), rechargeable AAs are absolutely fine.

Good price, but there are no professional reviews on the internet, which is always a bad sign.

Voted hot, but buyer beware, this may be a bargain, but it also may be an utterly rbbish camera on clearance. Without expert reviews to go by, this is a blind purchase.

My Fujifilm Finepix S8000fd uses 4xAA Batteries, bets camera I have ever used, stop posting nonsense.

The reason there might not be any professional reviews is because it was a Comet exslusive model it is identical to the S860 :-D

My sammy camera eats batteries like there's no tomorrow. This will probably be the same.

As I said above, it's only a basic model.

You can't expect sites to review every camera produced by every manufacturer now, can you ?

I think £50 for a digital camera says it all. And it's a Samsung, i.e. not the best camera manufacturer by a long mile.

As above, it is a rebadged S860, which have a few vague reviews which call it "great" without quite saying why, still, for £50 you can't lose much.

I'm not posting nonsense. Digital cameras burn through AA batteries a lot quicker than their lithium counterparts. Therefore if you buy an AA battery camera, expect to have to take the batteries out and recharge after comparatively little usage, whereas lithiums last for weeks

i have seen the review the camera is good u cau buy memory card from play. com there are cheap Buy rechargeable batteries the engerzier rechargeable the 2400mah from ebay there are cheap in shops there tge memory card and batteries are expensive .

I use Energizer Lithiums they last ages!

No problems with using rechargeable batteries for my Canon camera, last a long time and recharge overnight, job done!

Personally i prefer cameras that use AAs. You can get Hybrio pretty cheap nowadays, and they last ages in my bridge camera and my compact.
Also if you do ever find yourself short of power, you can get disposable AA batteries anywhere.

I'd rather have AA personally so I can buy more batteries if need be. They're annoying, but conveniently bought when needed!

Completely agree, my old canon digi used AA's, never had a problem with it running out of charge and have managed to pick up half decent rechargeables and charger in an emergency whilst on hols. Does robbodobbo reckon they'd have much luck finding their battery in a small town in sicily???

TBH I'd not let it influence me that much, but a 2nd or 3rd Li battery for emergencies, but to say avoid for this reason is rot...

red HOT thanks http://photo-shack.com/img/559cb990c9dffd8675f6bc2186971dc2.gif

Just bought my stepdad one for xmas. Good find!

good find £59.99 @ comet

Another vote for AA batteries here, my Canon powershot is good for probably 300-400 photos with a set of Uniross Hybrio batteries. I agree that with alkaline batteries you'd be lucky to get a couple of dozen pictures, so on the one occasion that I needed to use alkaline batteries I simply went old school, switched off the screen and used the viewfinder.

Does anyone know how this compares with the canon A470 that was posted here the other week?

Don't forget 5% RAC voucher
