Not having a viewfinder is not reason to vote cold ,as camera is a posted as a bargain at the discounted price.

Gets good reviews ]here and on ]Amazon

Does anyone know if it has a microphone?

what sort of batteries does it take?

But it's only 7 megapixels :whistling::whistling:

It seems to take a lithium battery, prefer AAs myself.

The main cons appear to be:
a) slow between shots - 2.5 secs without flash, 3.2 seconds when using flash
b) lack of manual control over aperture or shutter speed.

There sems to be a burst mode, so the slowness needn't be an issue (at least for non-flash). Regarding lack of manual control you could also say it doesn't have manual focus, which is true of pretty well all compacts. If you want a full range of manual controls you are probably advised not to buy any pocket-sized digital cameras.

Thanks for the pointer. Have ordered one, now my son and I can fight over it!

7MP is good , your only saying its bad as there are 10mp or bigger out there , unless u are printing out A3 photos then its ideal

I voted hot and I don't need a camera, great buy.

Voted HOT. This is the price you pay for a basic camera, this one is fairly high spec!

Don't you people realise the damage pixels are doing to our planet? They leak out of these fancy cameras and contribute to global something! Let's get back to good old film so all the processing pollution goes down the drain and we never need to hear about it again.

Looks like a decent deal to me!

Cheap for the specs, so hot deal it that respect. But I've refused to buy Samsung digital cameras since I got an NV3, awful picture quality compared similar price Sony/Fuji cameras.

great price for 7x optical and li-ion battery! quite a bit in quidco and boots points im sure too!

500g weight? Not really portable.

...and in case nobody realises: megapixels have nothing to do with quality.

That's right, my camera is 10Mp and it doesn't produce the best pictures in the world. its more about the sensor and stuff that makes good pictures

Good deal heat added but link says "stock coming soon". May not be in stock any more?? .

very nice cam at a cracking price going to order one now:whistling:

Huge reduction.... Tempted to get one as well :P

5megapixel is an optimum for A4 size pics, after that its all a matter of numbers! Having developed lots of pics at varying megapixel rates I would not worry to much over it only being 7 mp. I have a Samsung 5 mp and its ideal as a point and shoot. Usually you find the con is in the delay between start up and between taking shots so agree with 'anydiscount' who posted above.

Just bought myself a fujifilm z100fd myself just for taking shots on an ad hoc basis, £51 off fleabay plus £8 for a charger as it had none. It appears to have got a good write up.

If you want quality pics/ camera stick to sony or canon as your brand with Fuji following on

would be a great deal but they are not in stock and theres no proof they ever will be again even tho it says stock coming soon, i have waited for over a year for "soon" on several occasions when its a good deal like this.
should this deal be expired until they are actually available??

Bit narrow that - at least add Panasonic and Casio too. Fuji questionable these days. Forget Olympus - who wants to be saddled with xD cards?
