For some reason it was listed as £54.99:thinking:

I'm not so sure this is good. The Philips 5960 upscales to 1080i and is £40 delivered (empire direct), whilst the new model 5980 upscales to 1080p and is £60. The advantage the Philips has over the Samsung is the USB port as well, which is an excellent addition.

Unless you specifically need the 1080p, I think the Philiips is a much better buy.

i got one of these from richer sounds with a pricematch for £65, this is an excellent price and a good player as well

* Press the Repeat button on the remote (not the Repeat A-B)
* Press 5, 7, 5, 3 and 8 in order on the remote
* Number 02 will appear at the top left of the screen
* Quickly press 9 on the remote
* Quickly press the open button on the remote
* At least 15 seconds later power off the player, then power back on.
