Ok, this one is a little bit of work but worth it i think

Buy the samsung E1120 instore for £10 with £5 free credit

Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 cinema tickets cost 35p per text so that is essentially 14 trips to the cinema for half price for £10.

Brilliant if your'e not an orange customer

That one you have to buy £10 airtime at the same time so total cost would be £15 but it would still be a good saving

The asda one is £10 with £5 free credit so £10 total cost

Does anyone know why you have to buy£10.00 airtime at Argos, I live 40 miles from Asda but I only need to get one to use abroad.

Its a pretty standard thing when buying a PAYAGO phone. All networks do it I think it stops people buying the cheap phones putting another sim in and the original network doesn't make any money from selling you air time which is where the profit for networks is in. You can do it anyway but their just making sure they've sold you some air time and made money from you :thumbsup:

Nice one.

Good deal if you need the phone.

Otherwise if you have an unlocked phone can order a free PAYG sim from Orange (and get 80p Quidco). Still need to top up (min £10?) but everything you spend goes on your credit.

Cost = £10 (less 80p Quidco)
Credit = £10
=28 half price cinema trips for £10

Do you need to text each time you go? When I was on orange, I texted them once and used it everytime.

How to get £10 free credit:

Order a free Orange sim card then order another free sim card from a different network.

After you get the sim card from the other network request a PAC code from them and port the number from that sim over to the Orange sim.

Orange give a free £10 airtime credit to PAYG customers joining them from other networks who have ported their numbers.

I noticed yesterday however that in the Orange Wednesday t&s's Orange say they only provide the 241 cinema texts to customers who regularly top up by £5 each month.

If that's the case, and your local cinema happens to be a fussy one who closely inspect the texts, then this deal might only be good enough for 4 or 5 free tickets not the 14 as stated in the OP.

Might be OK in a lot of cinemas but you'd be bughered if you came up against a jobsworth.

I suppose you get to know who the staff are if you go regularly so would know whether you can get away with it or not.

Has anybody ever been a cinema where they've actually keyed the code on the text in before?

Also I know it says "2 for 1" but can you have "4 for 2" or "6 for 3" etc?

4 for 2 would likely need 2 codes....

This deal (Asda + E1120) has been running for ages; be aware that not all Asda's will have stock - call in advance to avoid disappointment & a wasted trip.

For those that want a clam shell rather than a candy bar, Asda also sell the Alcatel OT220.
The OT220 package is £15 but includes £10 of call credit, so the phone costs £5; same as the Samsung E1120 package.

FYI Asda Living in Altrincham has both of these handsets in-stock atm.
