Give Orange a call and ask them to either unlock the SIM or send you another. Don't forget to tell them how frustrated you are that the Christmas present wasn't working and they should give you/your son some extra free credit.

Cheers, ill try that. Many thanks

Hot. Been meaning to get an orange as it gets reception in places others don't ( like where we live)

I got this for my mum as well and the sim card won't activate..according to the instructions inside the box, a text should arrive first time it is switched on but that didn't happen....likewise, I couldn't register the handset online as per the instructions either.
I'm sure it will get sorted out, but its a pain in the ass -however it seems like a nice little simple handset for my mum as she needs something simple to operate.

activated ours fine. Be careful as lots of the boxes in the spondon asda had had the phones stolen and just left empty boxes:thumbsup:

Is it sim locked?
