Could someone explain to me exactly how much money you have to pay each month etc.? I can't understand all the complicated contract stuff.

£30 / month will come out of your account, but it averages out to £5 / month with all the cash back.

Good deal, need a new contract, may flog the phone on ebay, ( I like my w810i)

Saw some comments on MSE forums about cash back problems with the Phone Spot.

PhoneSpot doesnt handle cashback claims. The handset and paperwork is handled by e2save

I havent bothered checking..but I saw the same deal at E2Save yesterday. £5 a month. Same contract too.

You pay £30 every month for 12 months = £360 for the whole term

Automatic cashback = £51
Cashback @ month 6 = £62.25
Cashback @ month 8 = £62.25
Cashback @ month 10 = £62.25
Cashback @ month 12= £62.25
-----------
Total cashback = £300.00

Quidco cashback = £50

Effective cost is £10 for 12 months

I don't know if it's true, but CPW retentions told me that the phone spot was not a CPW company (they offered to match any OSPS, e2s or CPW deal, but didn't know of phone spot).

ThePhoneSpot is a CPW subsidiary and orders are fulfilled by e2save (another CPW subsidiary)

Personally, I would pay the extra £13.50 to deal with e2save directly.

I woul dhave agreed with you but do not forget that quidco is only paid if the whole order tracks online- I have recent experience of going for an order through quidco from e2save for it not to track.

I have put in a payment enquiry which quidco state can take 90 days to sort out.

Therefore my advice is that whilst it is possible that the term cost will be £10 for this phone from the phonespot or £23.50 from e2save, I would always assume the actual cost is £60 with the possibility of getting some of this back!

Although Quidco cashback is NOT guaranteed, I've never had any issues with Quidco tracking for e2save or PhoneSpot

However, I dont prefer to project the term cost as £10, as you may see in the title.

True. So far I have not had any problems with Quidco tracking e2save. Once I had a problem with CPW. I simply re-ordered it and returned the original one to CPW.

You will only place the order @ ThePhoneSpot site. You will deal with e2save then onwards.. All communication, including order acknowledgement & confirmation, delivery, cashback claims etc. will be dealt by e2save

Good deal this. I've had bucketloads of cashback contracts with CPW companies, and not had a real problem yet (they made administrative screwups with one, but fixed it via email).

What's nice with these current gen of phones is you can put a £15 2GB card in them, and use bluetooth A2DP earphones for music. Not only do you not need an Ipod, you don't even need the wires....

Cheers for this bargain Edi, I ordered one yesterday for my wife as her current carphone warehouse cashback offer is just coming to a close so it was perfect timing ! I've just been waiting for a decent O2 offer to appear.

The phone arrived this morning in a white cardboard box, complete with charger, data lead and cd. The phone looks brand new although the battery inside has a few scuffs indicating they have probably just fitted a new case.

The phone is going on ebay anyway so I'm not too bothered

Just an update, can anyone advise best way to talk to e2Save.

I ordered a phone, similar deal on 4th May, from The Phone Spot. As it was just over two months ago now, my first cheque should have arrived - the automatic one. Sounds similar to MSE comments.
Any advice as how best to chase them? Thanks

I saw a recent cashback deal for CPW I was going to go for, but I was not to sure about the process of getting it back.
There was a link to the process on here a while back.
Can anyone help.
Cheers.

Edi - some quick questions for you.

Onestopphoneshop are doing the K800i on a 12 mth free £35 deal on 02 (400m/500t). So I could profit by £36.50 Quidco.

Its a price match deal.

My understanding is the difference between the deal for the E900 and the K800i is - 4 claims against 5 claims.

If you miss a claim on the K800i its all further cashback lost.

Both are 30 days timescale?
