I nearly bought this yesterday when there was a code for 15% of all appliances, now a better offer has replaced that one with 20% automatically deducted at the checkout bringing the price (inc. standard delivery) to £295.99. NB: You have to go to the checkout for the discounted price to show.

I think this is the lowest price I've seen for a quality machine with a 5 year warranty - at least for one that covers both parts and labour. This model is the WF70F5E0W4W in white, A+++ rated, with 7kg load and 1400 spin. Full specs on the Homebase link, but it all looks pretty good to me. Other places sell this for a fair bit more (AO.com has it at £379 at the moment, for example).

Quidco is available (mine has tracked at £5.55) and Nectar points are available too.

Details of the 5 year warranty can be found here: samsung.com/uk/…tml

No, it's advertised to run for a month each time so it started again on 1st June until the end of the month, see the link in the first post.

Great value for money

So the offer is 20% of large appliances when you spend £150

5 year warranty for a reason, I returned 3 in 9 months! now got BOSCH.happy days.

I bought this last month it's amazing well worth the money!!

I hate mine, wish i'd gotten another John Lewis own machine.

do remeber you need to register online to get 5 year warranty within 90 days or it reverts to 2 year guys

I have the black 8kg version and i have to say this washing machine is amazing deffo worth the money

Got this exact machine, we are a big family it runs daily and has for 2 years now, and its amazing..

There are many things that Samsung do 10x better than LG
Washing Machines arnt one of them

Yes this is better than a hotpoint
but LG are miles ahead of anyone else with washing machine
quality and reliability

same here got the WF80F5E0W4W 8kg from AO.COM with 5 Year warranty and free Samsung camera (worth £129.00) a year and a half ago, been fantastic, I paid £394.00

I have to say I wouldn't touch anything but Bosch. Mine is over 5 years old and hasn't missed a beat since day 1. Not even had new brushes. We've a 2 yr old toddler so it's on at least once a day.

Anyway, pointless comment unless you explain WHY!

for those people recommending Bosch did you know they had been bought buy another company ? the Bosch machines are not made like they used to. try LG.

Almost as pointless as YOURS

It's a very good price. Had it been the black one I'd of snapped it up for the son, who's just brought a flat. dam!

Bought this 18 months ago after doing extensive research into A+++ machines. This was one of the best in its price range category and was £100 more than this price. Seems to be still going strong 18 months later. Hot price for a good washing machine.

bought my 8kg graphite version of this 2 months ago and love it!! the music at the end of the wash can be annoying but in a way I kinda like it!

I've got the same but the gunmetal colour, ive had it for over a year, it looks the part and cleans brilliantly. no problems yet, but I do have additional cover on it

been running a similar samsung 7kg for nearly 3 years now with 2 very young children and i would say its been really excellent. would definitely recommend. my brother bought a hotpoint washer which is identical in almost every way, so looks like samsung have been copying theirs, which is probably no bad thing

"Bought"

So if we paid banker or Tesco top whack wages with massive bonuses to get the very best bosses, the English could manufacture washing machines as good as this one, which sounds exceedingly attractive deal.

I had a Bosch washing machine, didn't last that long before the motor packed in. Won't be touching them again, despite what everyone says how great they are....

We have one of these, it's great. on every day at least once. hot, that's a great price.

Keeping an eye out for good deals our Hoover washing machine is 12 years old does at least 2 loads a day and it's broken down twice.

1 carbon brushes (5 min fix under £10)
My eldest swung on the door and snapped the hinge (not machines fault lol)

Seems a reasonable price for what looks like a good machine, only thing that puts me off modern machines is all the computer controls & not so easy for DIY repairs :-(

Oh if you know a pensioner go in on a Tuesday as it's Grey Tuesday every week they get a 10% discount. So makes the deal even better

Recently had the worst possible experience with Samsung when trying to get my home appliance repaired, would never buy from them again. I know that might not be a factor for a lot of people, but a 5 year warranty doesn't mean a lot when you spend hours over multiple days on the phone to their terrible customer services department only to find their engineers don't turn up and they don't return your calls.

It's a very very good point re warranties. It's fine having a long warranty but ultimately if your machine breaks down and you've got kids then it's going to cause massive hassle. You'll still have to wait for a repair man and possibly another wait for parts. Much better to have a reliable machine that doesn't break down in the first place. Warranties may offer peace of mind for the cost, but if money isn't your biggest worry then it will be of small comfort if you have to wait a week for a repair when there may be local repair people who could do it sooner.

Shonk

I'd say that's complete nonsense. There seems to be a lot of luck or bad luck involved, whichever way you look at it, when buying a washing machines or similar product.

We bought three Hotpoint appliances when we moved into our house, which was thirteen years ago. Washing machine, fridge/freezer and a condensing dryer. The washing machine has gone through two sets of carbon brushes, which is to be expected. The refrigerator had a new pump, and the dryer has needed nothing. That's quite impressive reliability in anyone's book.

On the flip side of that, my parents bought a Bosch washing machine about three years back, and they've had nothing but problems with it. Refusing to spin, LCD display not working etc.

Sorry about the double post, not a clue why it did that....

We have a Bosch machine, it's about 8 years old now and is stamped on the back 'Made in Germany'. On the new machines they're stamped 'Made in Spain'.

Bosch were the best and all I would buy. My last one is 2 years old and the seal has gone. Sad to see once great brands go downhill like that. I won't be buying a Bosch again.

Personally, we've owned the same Miele machine for the last 15 years and is still going strong. Repaired once under warranty after 9 years faultless service. We will be buying Miele again to replace when we have to regardless of what they cost.

However this seems like a good deal, particularly with the 5 year warranty included.

fantastic machine at great price
