High picture quality is obtained by employing a 10.2 megapixel 1/2.33" high resolution CCD sensor. The resolution is clear enough to print up to poster size. A robust mounted image processor allows for rich gradation, fast and high quality picture processing.

With the Face Detection function, you can now take better portrait pictures with ease. The function is able to distinguish faces from the rest of the background and automatically focuses on them. It can then adjust he brightness of the faces so that your portraits come out perfect every time.

just spotted this as well... but thinking i'll go for a Pentax WS80 as it's twice the price and likely to last more than twice as long (even though this has a metal body, the extending lens is usually the weakness).
this is a great price though, about £65 at amazon/ebuyer

novatech is also a solid company to buy from.

This camera is sturdy with a solid feel and it has a rechargeable lithium battery. Hot at this price.
Does the price include p & p?

Surely though when buying at the £50 range, people are not expecting £200 quality or cutting edge technology.

It is a £50 camera with a lithium battery which is presumably good enough for putting in your pocket or glove compartment but perhaps not what you'd use for your main wedding photos.

So in the context of what a rational man would expect it to do, where does it fall short ?

sorry, browser glitch, double posted

movie recording isn't great but you'd have paid 3 times this for similar features a few years ago.
don't personally have experience with Samsung cameras but their gear is generally good.

My father in law has one of these, the videos are fairly good and work on the wii photo channel.

these were in Asda not long ago for £40 with a free 2GB SD card
