And how are they going to know about its previous use - assuming it fails?

They fail and end up being 'read only' so if you send it back they'll see the evidence.
But to vote this deal cold because the warranty excludes dash cam use is just plain silly.

Warranty excludes use in dash cams.

COLD.
I just paid £26.99 for the Sandisk equivalent to this the other day ... and I thought I got a reasonable deal. Stonking price!
I got one this week from Carphone Warehouse online. £14.99 with free delivery

The card will obviously be full of footage of you driving. And even if you 'delete' those files, they will still be on there as delete simply removes the filename from the index - it doesn't remove the actual data on the card. To remove the actual data, you'd have to overwrite every single individual byte on that card with 0 using something like dban or similar. And if you do that every time you really will be guaranteed to destroy the card and cause it to fail...

Not at all - there are numerous other 'normal' SD cards eg. Transcend, Toshiba etc, that are suitable for use in dash cams and which aren't specifically excluded by the warranty.
Cheapest currently. was £15 for weeks until few day ago

The Carphone warehouse card was indeed U3 I bought 3. However it was the standard evo version not evo plus, not sure on write speed differences between the two though.
Got two of these both 32gb, both corrupted. Had to get a refund.

Yes, this will be fine to put into a mobile which accepts micro SD cards. Providing your phone supports that size of card (most do) so you should be fine.

According to Samsung, they simply don’t exist. Class 10, but not U3. I would be concerned if they were genuine if they’re marked on the card as U3

The deal was also posted here: hotukdeals.com/dea…759

I didn't think they'd still have it. Might have to go look for it if you bought it yesterday.

Maybe the more relevant question is how prominent is the alleged dash cam exclusion on the retail packaging? There's nothing on the packaging of any of the SD cards I have lying around that excludes their use in a dash cam, yet, according to some, such use would void the warranty.

Also, there's nothing to stop you having cloned your card (which was never used in a dash cam) from one that was.
I had a card like that die on me after 13 months of use as extended storage in an Android phone.
I know it's a sample of one, but I wonder if it was the continuous use that killed it and the same reason why the don't recommend it for dash cams...

You are talking about different card... this card was not available 13 months ago or more.
Will this be any good for recording 4K video @ 100mbps?
I bought one 14.99GBP from eBay with free and fast delivery.

Have you at least run H2testw on this card ?
Is this compatible with GoPro / DJI Mavic Pro Drone - so does it support 4K videos?
I have one in my Galaxy S9, It supports 4K 60FPS no problems.

I foolishly purchased 3 of these (bargains) via ebay from a Polish geezer. They looked like the real deal but never performed. I did a test and found them to be only 8gb.

The quality of the fake product looked like the real McCoy and the packaging looked authentic enough! Luckily for me paypal returned my payments immediately without fuss over the phone.
So does the genuine seller equals genuine Samsung Evo+ in this case?

If I'm wrong, can you link to the ONLINE CPW offer with a U3 card ? Because the only one I can see on there pictures a U1 card as does the description. What you bought in store I can't comment on - and I haven't - but online, which I was referring to and quoted, there is no sign of a U3 Evo card.

So not wrong.

Ebay = more than likely fake.
Been there, done that, got the refund from Paypal
Great price. Just bought one for my Mavic Air drone. Cheers OP
What's the chances these are actually genuine Samsung cards and not some fake Chinese rubbish?
