Not the cheapest, according to CamelCamel, but still not a bad price for those needing high performance for little cost/storage.

Wow, no love for the 840 Evo then!

Cheers guys!

picked one of these up through flubit for £48.50 before christmas.

Currently under £58 on ebuyer with free postage and plenty of other places are marginally cheaper.

Thank you for commenting with reasons. Remind me to get a Time Machine so I can go back and get one before Christmas. Useless.

I personally would never ever touch anyone other an Amazon for purchases like this due to shipping costs, aftercare etc. but each to their own.

Feel free to post some cheaper deals that provide the same.

Anything smaller than 240gb is a false economy with SSD's as both price per GB and performance are noticeably impacted. You're going to lose at least 20gb just for the OS, alas:-

Cheaper from most other vendors for the 120gb 840 Evo.

Well i've had a 120 in my machine for 4 years, never run out of space (maybe because I know how to use a computer?) And I don't need anything more than that. Also useful for using as a pagefile disk for virtual servers if running VM's on host.

Once again, I would prefer to buy from Amazon - I wouldn't touch Aria, but thank you for sharing.

Not useless just showing this is not a hot deal as the price was £55 at amazon at that time. You go to amazon and pay more than ebuyer etc. No loss to me, I've got mine.

your preference for not buying from certain suppliers does not make it hot when it is cheaper elsewhere unfortunately.

Strange comments really. This is a deal website not a "I only buy from one shop so here it is" site. You've just shown yourself that it is at a higher price on amazon than it has been for a while.

Ebuyer are absolutely fantastic and I've spent thousands with them, very good customer service (as are Amazon, scan, overclockers etc).

Not flaming you, but you'll only ever get cold votes if you're posting something that has recently gone up in price and/or can be found cheaper elsewhere.

Not strange at all. I just get fed up of people saying "I bought that cheaper last week" etc etc. They are pointless and useless comments that don't help

You must be one of those people who shop at DFS when they don't have a sale on. People bringing these points of something being cheaper in the past suggests that it's a price something can be achieved because it's been on sale at said price previously without issue (outside of obvious fire sales, clearance stock etc).

So the points you claim are pointless and useless are not anywhere near that, I'd certainly be happy to wait a few weeks to get a good deal on something like this that's not a necessity and simply an upgrade that can be easily lived without. I've done this with numerous deals I've picked up on HUKD when people have pointed out that something was cheaper. Gotten numerous hard drives, a few laptops, a couple of phones and a Microserver to name but a few items over the years that I didn't need there and then, but I waited a brief period for another price drop at a retailer. And all as a result of people saying it's been cheaper and bringing my attention to that fact.

I appreciate that it's not for everyone as if you need to replace something price has to be less of a factor to consider. But if you don't need it there and then a few days to get a good deal is hardly going to kill you.

Why should people pay more for the same thing when a few days waiting can get an actual bargain. It's like saying RRP is £100, it was available for £50 last week at store X but that ended, now store Y has it for £90 and therefore that makes it a deal. It doesn't, especially if Store Z has it at the same or similar price a week later.

I never shop at store z , tbey ripped me off ! but store y are great they treated me like a prince, .. or at least a count.

Yea, I hear they are great with returns, especially at Christmas...

Haha, not seen that! I've never had a problem in the past, personally though.

Having said that I work in retail and I get quite a few returns I have to reject because the customer is usually misunderstanding or inventing issues that aren't there!
