For those with time machines, it was £105 last Friday. Otherwise, best price for a while, although assuming price is generally declining due to replacement models.

BTW: that's the 3rd Party price graph...
I have had 256gb 840 Pro for about 5+ years now and can't fault it still going strong, I'm now thinking of getting a 500gb but torn between this and the new mx500, I mean the 850 is 4 years old now. Is this still better/worth getting over through mx500?

Go check the review of the read and write speed of the two. doubt there is much different. If you want a upgrade, get NVMe(PCIE) SSD which is much faster but more expensive

Yeah they are not far off I looked, it's plenty fast enough but saw on an earlier post that someone mentioned to get the 850 over the mx500 if you can get one around the same price or a few quid more which made me think there the Samsung was superior in some way and I was wondering why! Samsung have sort of let a bitter taste in my mouth after trying to make me pay more for postage of a failed micro sd card, in warranty, than I paid for the sd card, plus they said they would send me a used one in to replace once received!
Installed mine tonight and tested in UserBenchmark. Yep it’s a fast SSD alright!! Great value for the £105 I paid from Amazon last week.
Prices have been going in totally the wrong direction. Checked my Amazon history and I bought the 1TB version of this drive 2 years ago for £225. It's currently £299

Great drive - fast boot, fast read and write speeds.

If only I'd had the same wisdom to buy a graphics card at 2016 prices too

Not best price for a while then, is it? As it was cheaper less than a week ago.
I'm waiting for a good SSD Easter deal.
Still using a Samsung 830 and they were not even called EVO then.

Apologies my mistake. Missed the lightning deal, would've thought I would get an alert.

No need for apologies, and thanks for sharing alternative chart.

I find the camels' alerts aren't always swift/responsive enough with lightning deals. This still looks a good price, though.
