Yes and to indicate why TLC is not as good as MLC performance wise, is because TLC has more voltage levels 8 I believe, SLC having 2 and MLC having 4. More voltage levels means more time to translate the information to bits as there's more voltage levels to attend to. TLC also has a higher bit rate error due to crosstalk/noise between the voltage levels, more levels more noise more errors.
