The exynos 9610 is comparable to the Snapdragon 660, not a bad processor in itself, but nowhere near as good as the sd710 which I thought it was comparable to originally.

Exciting this. Also waiting for the A30 but it's not yet available to buy in uk.

Just wondering the battery endurance on these phones, whether its as good as the Mi a2 lite
I've never seen this phone, is it like the M20 in India?

Btw it's out of stock.

So many A series phones, never know what to buy.
Why are they so much cheaper than the notes and galaxy models? The specs look near enough the same.. thanks
Cheaper as they are not flagship devices and mid-range?

Samsung had a 20% slump YOY and CEO DJ Koh gave everyone at Samsung a kick up the backside to be more competitive at the mid range level. Competition from Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo (whose sales are going through the roof YOY) have forced these changes. In fact Huawei have overtaken Apple to become 2nd largest phone maker and is set to take Samsungs crown as number one by end of play this financial year.
Front of the p30 pro and back of the p20 Pro, nice looking phone.
Didn't need it. Went and bought it from Argos!!!

This is a nice phone. I bought the Huawei P Smart 2019 recently and was a little disappointing. It can get quite laggy at times. I think it needs a bit more RAM.

Just set this Galaxy up and OMG that screen though!

Yeah I would have a hard time going away from AMOLED at this point, Samsung know their screens. Someone gave me a Sony XZ1 to sell and the IPS screen on that just felt so flat compared to my Samsung.

Now we just need someone to figure out how to install Google Pixel camera software on this and see what the results are

EDIT: Here are a couple of different videos of people installing the Pixel camera software on Samsung phones.

This or the mi 9
Would you rather buy this or Pristine S9 plus 6/128 black for £330?
Samsung's A series are really good. Their medium weight phones with decent power and spec, with premium build quality and decent battery.

Stay clear of the J range, although they have got better, Samsung aren't very good at budget ranges!

This or the mi 9

The Mi9 would be a better 'power user' choice and is great value for money - but a UK Samsung phone with a decent spec would sway me now having had the Mi8 Pro for a while.

Xiaomi (and Huawei I believe?) have very aggressive device memory management and it drove me nuts on the Mi8.

Great phones from Xiaomi and Huawei, but I downgraded to a Moto G7 with a Snapdragon630 and don't really notice any difference in daily usage - apart from the fact that all my apps and notifications work as expected - which is nice

If it's an S9+, definitely - Samsung's best (but it's really got to be pristine)

If you had a Sony XZ2 or LG G7 in your hand you'd see what an amazing IPS screen looks like.

Samsung camera software pretty good too, 2nd only to Google. Only now are Samsung's cameras coming up a bit short against Huawei's flagships, plus Pixel, but still terribly good though - for all except pic buffs

Well I have a P30 Pro waiting for me at home that just got delivered 30 minutes ago

If only we could have that phone Samsung screens and video recording capabilities, Huawei camera hardware and battery management, Google camera software and their pure Android. Maybe a stylus from Note series to boot as well

The P30 Pro beat a Samsung for picture quality (and battery, probs other things too)

I think most mid/low end device processors are perfectly adequate these days? Was really surprised how nice the G7 with a 630 is - absolutely fine for my daily usage.

Do not miss the 845 in the Mi8 at all - probably wasted more time and power checking for bloomin' notifications that would come through intermittently or not at all

I think this will feel pretty snappy - looking at you @artnada for a review

I'm hoping the renders of the new pixels are real
It's basically a Galaxy s10 Google Edition with Pixel camera

Just hoping they don't mess about and put a small battery/ram in it

Sam would be interested in 20gb ram
The Argos one appears to be dual sim too which is handy. Also looks like there is a Micro SD Card slot as well, although I don't have one to spare to test. There has been a software update of 436mb too. It's a nice phone so far, and there is none of the stuttering the Huawei P Smart 2019 had.

It feels nice to hold and the screen is nice and bright with good colours. I'm happy.

This'll be my phone for a while now cheers OP

Keep the details coming. I think this phone is perfect for a light user like myself. How is Samsung's software? Been using an android one phone and know I'm going to miss it if I switch.

As tempting as that is, I'd prefer to pay extra for an official UK model with a warranty, as well as the option to return it for a refund if necessary.

The OneUI looks a bit "cartoonish" in the app drawer but I use Nova anyway. The software overall is pretty fluid. I've not had a stutters which sadly, was quite common on the P Smart 2019.

Definitely duel sim, I'm using 2 sims in it now. You can choose which sim uses what, as in data, texts, calls.
It has Fast Charging, but not sure about wireless charging. It also has Dolby for sound, if that's what you need.

Sadly not. UK stitched up again. I've ordered from ebay.

What's the screen like?
Does anyone know whether the Galaxy A30 or M30 will come out in the UK too?
