I don't think there's any reason to get this over the A52s 5G. SD778G better than the Exynos in most respects. Comparison link here for those interested. Factoring in 2nd hand/discount prices on the A52s really makes the A53 look like a bad addition to a line of phones that's been very popular in the midrange market.

You can buy off ebay s7 edge for ~30 quid.

Some lucky ones can also use:
-10% codes
-7.5% increased quidco cashback
-5% samsung pay+ cashback.
In total you will pay ~185 quid + the price of S7 edge.

A52s 5G is £295 right now from CEX at A Grade. I don't see why you'd pay £100 more for a phone that is negligibly better at best and take the risk on the very hit-or-miss Buds Live, especially given they hit £50-70 regularly when posted here.

No, not that bad - the generous trade-in and free earphones make this a good deal.
Regarding the lack of a charger - the full price on Samsung's site is £10 lower than A52s - which is the price of a 15W charger.- Would be great for a mid range phone but no wireless charging is deal breaker for me.

No probs bud, it happens like you say - OnePlus Nord 2 is a better phone with a much slicker bloat free skin and cheaper

Has a faster SOC, headphone jack , charger in box , only thing you're losing out on is more updates - I guess they wouldn't take a Honor 20 Pro as a Huawei P20 Pro as trade in - they are different phones?

I think it might be worth upgrading to the a52s rather than a53. Am I wrong? I can't see anywhere that says why a53 is superior

And if you need headphone jack and expandable memory can go for the one plus nord ce2 - I've currently got A50, would A53 be a better upgrade for me? A53 has better trade in value so for me works out £90 cheaper than buying A52s
- I must be losing my mind, but did the recent android update remove Bluetooth file sharing? It's no longer an option when I go press share on any of my images.
It doesn't help that quick share doesn't work with my galaxy book pro either
