Created with an 8.7", WXGA+ touch display, speakers powered by Dolby Atmos technology and a 5,100mAh battery, Samsung's Galaxy Tab A7 Lite provides a highly portable and fun experience, no matter if you're checking your social media sites or streaming your favourite films.

Capture the moment
Thanks to the 2MP front-facing camera and the 8MP rear camera with auto focus, you're all set for capturing those special moments and fun selfies.

Storage friendly
With high resolution photos, music and films, storage space can fill up. Not to worry as this device has a handy memory card slot - just pop in a memory card that you've previously purchased (up to 1TB) and remove the need to delete your precious memories.

What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.

This device has 3GB RAM.

Connecting your other devices
Built-in Wi-Fi makes it easy to connect the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite to the internet, and Bluetooth 5.0 can help to send data wirelessly between devices. Helpfully, the USB Type-C 2.0 port allows for fast data transfer.

Additional information: manufacturers often update their Operating System (OS) software over the course of a device's lifespan - this means that your product might ship with a more advanced OS than specified.

Is this OK to buy just to use to read e books on? Daughters into ebooks lately & constantly reading them on her fone
    Any help really appreciated

If it’s just regular e books I’d say an e reader is better, such as the Kindle. No glarey LCD screen, less headache and eye strain plus better battery life.

The disadvantage is that you can only use them for books, and sometimes audiobooks, whereas a tablet could browse the web, social media, stream movies and TV shows, and play games etc etc

in search for a sub £100 tablet, looks like the HD10 is probably the best

It's a terrible tablet in absolutely every respect. Only disappointment and frustration awaits it's buyers.

Is this tablet much of an upgrade to Amazon 8HD? I doubt the extra 1G ram would make a massive difference?

I found just upgrading my 10HD to a newer one was a huge difference. 2GB to 4GB. 3 is the bare minimum these days, it's really hard to get by on 2 without constant swapping/slowdowns.

That being said, I'd get the 10HD when it's on sale over this. It's quite a bit more powerful. The A7 Lite is ok-ish at this price, but really poor value vs. the 10HD at the regular price.

Since the latest One UI update this tablet performs way better. The new Ram plus feature has made a huge difference - it uses internal storage as virtual ram. Tablet was sluggish before buy way better now.
