2nd that.
Got a OnePlus 5t right now, was gonna get the S10 for around £500 but wondering if I should spend that much, should I just get the A70 ?

The new A series are really good. Samsung knew it had to up their game on their lower and mid range phones. They were losing ground to brands like Huawei, mi, opo etc. Even the a10 basic model. Has 32gb storage and comes with free 32gb sd card.

The S10 is obviously the better phone, if you can get a used one for £400 and you can afford it, get that, otherwise this is a viable alternative, if you can live with that dire FPS.

I've got this for Mrs bear and quite frankly I'm astounded by how truly amazing it is.
Silky smooth performance throughout and a genuine underrated phone. I can't see any compromises on anyone's part with the a70, including the power users like me.
Yes of course if person has the cash then the S10 is certainly a better phone, but a person would struggle to notice the difference unless they ran benchmarks etc. Also the camera setup is different, so that may matter to some.
I also love the larger size screen and huge battery!
This is a good phone...and updates have improved the fingerprint sensor a lot. It's still not the fastest, but at least it now usually recognises prints first time. This is a steal if the phones are in good nick.

It'd be a downgrade, I wouldn't

They knew they had to lower their prices, especially in the big markets of developing world to compete with Chinese.

And so they did, but they lowered quality too - you can't have your cake and eat it

They did lower the quality, but this phone could have been had for £220 new a couple months ago, and a phone you can get for that price isn't gonna have the quality of the s10/note 10.

Was thinking OnePlus 7 for £380?

Plenty of choice, take your time to do some research, good prices on CeX for grade As if you wanna stay 1+

Many other options too, truly underrated LG V40 at same price point (until tomorrow, eBay promotion) comes to mind, brand new

rover.ebay.com/rov…579

That's a formidable flagship, if you wanna spend less but still above midrange, this deal just came out

hotukdeals.com/dea…807

Brand new, much better than this

Yeah I'd rather have stock android or atleast stockish. Plus small bezel ideally.

Your own Mix 2s deal earlier, no match for this

(...says a Samsung S series lover)

Agreed, better buy new for £220 (I still wouldn't, am very special)

I agree its a great phone got one couple of months ago from Samsung direct. Love the dual sim and micro sd - all 3 available at the same time. For the price its a great value.

Just had a night vision camera mode included in the latest upgrade. Great phone by the way.
Love my A70 but the screen cracked (not the glass but the oled behind it) after a 1 metre drop despite being in a tpu case. Screen would not turn on. Cost £100 to replace. I've had a few phones survive worse falls intact. So it's a bit delicate. Possibly due to size and weight or maybe the slim chassis. Seen a few others comment on YouTube about similar issues.

I've got an armour case on it, hope it survives any accidents!.
I looked at getting this phone but it is more like a tablet. Now looking at the a40 or a50 anyone know which is better?

You won't regret the A70, I was thinking of the same that A70 is too big but after a week or so I got used to it and its been great. I'm glad I got the A70 and not the A50 or similar.

Definitely, a70 all the way, they are big but that's the best bit!. You'll not need a tablet much after buying this. Especially if do a lot of YouTube/Netflix.

In the exact same dilema but with an S10+ which I can get for £600 and I went into an O2 shop to pick some earbuds up and spotted the A70. The hole punch was putting me off the S10+ and then reading reviews about the battery not being great even though bigger than S10 and the UK model not having a Snapdragon. The A70 is great value for money and after watching a few reviews I am going for one of those instead, can't justify paying twice the price for something that is marginally better. Next dilema is do I paid £250 for a very good condition one or just over £300 for a brand new one. Think I may just go for new and I've already saved myself £250/£300
Yesh exactly, I was gonna get A70 but decided on the oneplus 7 instead. Faster than an iphone

For the price the a70 Vs s10+ for only marginally better you have to pay double, and it's still not a Snapdragon!. I imagine that means no QC or APTX support .

It's got 25w quick charge against S10+ 15w and has 4500mah battery Vs 4100mah. Not sure about audio

Never tried the audio jack, but speakers are excellent, in rendition and volume.
