It’s a great mid range phone , I have had hands on experience setting this phone up for the mother !
5G
25w quick charging
Huge screen
4.500ah battery
855 snap dragon processor
Free buds
As it’s not Oled screen and LCD the battery life gets you 2 days no problem.
If you don’t need the Data Vodafone has a deal for £27 a month but it was £115 upfront. But only 5GB of data .
Pretty hot deal if Three mobile is good in your area .

Good find. Good deal and nice phone.
Quick unrelated question. Which of these are a better buy. Galaxy Note 9 or P30 Pro new.

Different devices. p30 for camera and Note 9 for productivity. Samsung’s night mode and live portrait so poor vs even my mate 20x and mate has the p30 pro and camera is brilliant. I do like Note 9 no notch design for watching media but p30 minimal like my mate 20 x. S pen is good. If you can get the Note 9 512GB version at a good price that a good choice as need the special Huawei memory cards that 256GB is about £100.

Cheers. I've had most galaxy Notes, but never used the spen. So a waste.
When you enable the hide notch setting on the p30, is the screen about the size of the Note 9?
I traded my Note9 for this on the recent Samsung promotion and the only thing I miss is wireless charging as I had invested in a few chargers....I don’t really notice the screen difference and not having a headphone socket did mean I had to invest in a USB C adapter but everything on the phone works well and 5G is impressively quick.....even in Barcelona where I was when I first connected to a 5G network (thank you Vodafone). The earbuds though are rubbish but eBay will come to the rescue for those audiophiles amongst you.

Tbh as most content is 16:9 I’ve found it less of an issue on mate 20 x then thought. Same on iPhone. Some 2:1 aspect material does have notch slightly cut in but found I prefer that to uneven black borders in notchless mode on 20x (have ocd about content being central!) I would say I’m glad I didn’t buy into the Samsung S10 hole punch as that would do my head in! So yes it’s probably same in 16:9 and better for 2:1 video (not sure If has stereo speakers like Note though)

I bought the buds and found with right fit tips and dynamic mode they are ok. Disabled the touch controls though as kept stopping them when even moved slightly vs my AirPods. Wireless headphones are for convenience at end of the day.
Links not working for me or my girlfriend now... anyone else getting that?.

Edit: this link works i mean, but going through Uswitch to the Three site faild and Three says "This link didnt work"

This versus HUAWEI p30 pro?
@MrSwitch hey there!
Wonder if you can help as ive seen youre a pro.
Ive just called Three up as im already a Three customer and was trying my luck at getting this deal abit cheaper and cancelling my current.. didnt work, they offered me a much higher one -_-

The person from Three told me that USwitch use second hand phones... is that true? Wasnt sure if she was just trying to convinve me to go through them.. Or does she mean it was bought direct from Three and is therefore second hand, but is actually brand new?

Thanku

Hiya, I haven't heard that before, I think their information is wrong, or she is just referring to them being bought direct. Weird one that.

Yeee thats what i thought but she wouldnt really clarify properly
I can only assume it was because she was trying to get me to go through Three directly and pay more rather than this Uswitch deal.
Ahh well, will lose my number but aint too fussed.
Thanks for responding

You csn just port your number out to a PAYG sim, then port it back, if you need to keep it.

@MrSwitch funny story - I called up to cancel my current contract and was just going to use this Uswitch one as it would suit me.. the guy said he had no clue why the first person i spoke to earlier said that either and looked into it.
Ended up matching this deal by just switching my current contract to it, so get keep number without porting it and they took the upfront cost off so got a little bit off... happy days in the end

This is common with 3. I’ve moved my number to payg them back to contract on 3 the last few years as much better deals 3rd party in recent years. Same with o2 in my experience. Friends with Vodafone and EE have had less hassle on upgrade.
Seriously considering this, I currently have a Huawei mate 10pro that I've had for two years.

Do you think this phone is much of an upgrade?
