Was much cheaper on Samsung site now oos.
Has anyone used this much? I would have thought a surface pro would be a better option at this price point?

edit: ignore my question, this appears to be a win10 tablet.....looks good

Argh. Why didn't this get posted up?!
Samsung had it for £600 aww man didn’t even know about this

There are still 4GB versions of this to be had for 350...
but 4GB versions have limited usability.

I got Surface Pro 4GB and this, surface Pro is definitely going back, this one I might pick up if nothing better comes along in a week.

Cheers
Called up JL 2 days ago when Samsung had it on sale. JL out of stock then. Told me call up when back in stock. Did so today and now Samsung don't have it in stock so JL now not honouring price match.

Called up Samsung and asked when is it back in stock and they simply do not know.

Cat and mouse game
It does look nice, but it competes with the Microsoft Surface Pro, not the Surface Book. I just don't understand what is so hard about adding a hinge so that it makes a proper laptop?

My son bought the 64 gig one and for some reason after setting it up it had used 41 gig but he had not installed anything.
Hardly any memory to do anything with.

You can expand the device with more storage.

Im not using it as a main machine so not too fussed but can understand those may want to replace a full on machine.

That's a totally different version than this one surely? Like, totally different league.
With this coming down to £600 ON Samsung's store and being reduced elsewhere, surely that suggests clearing stock for a new version coming next year?
Note there are new 8th gen machines coming out with lowest spec i5 i5-8250u (4 cores/8threads) being on par with i7-7700hq, plus obvious energy savings. I think it is worth waiting a bit if you can.

Obviously this was the smaller 10.6 one. Just cannot imagine that 4GB of ram and an inch of screen and extra USB socket costs another 300 pounds

Bigger OLED screen, double the storage, double the RAM, higher spec processor and extra inputs. Doesn't seem that stingy for an extra 300 quid!

If you calculate value: something barely adequate for anything to something versatile: obviously you are right.
In terms of component cost the difference is far from justified.

The marketing guys must love the 2in1 market with inflated margins

The 12" has an awesome OLED screen vs regular LCD display on 10",this alone is worth £100 extra easily.
extra 4GB RAM,extra 128GB SSD storage and more faster, powerful i5 processor and extra inputs easy make up the rest.
the 10" is not much for 12" model really.
They have increased the price on Samsung website now back to the original price but still out of stock at the moment.
Bought the 12 inch LTE version for £749 from Samsung's website and it's wonderful.

Are you sure this was £600? It's over £1.2k on Samsung at the moment. Seems like a ridiculous sale if it was under half that price.

£750 seems like a great price.

Yes, Samsung were selling the 256gb for £599 and still had the 128gb for £699 last time I checked.

Not anymore as they've all gone back up to full price. Other members here did see them at this price though

Did anyone actually buy one? I find it very hard to believe, especially from Samsung themselves.

Fair enough. Guess it was a bargain missed.
Got Currys to price match this as I has a store card to use. The plus fact is the currys ones turned up and has LTE connectivity with sim cards. All in all cost me £450. Very pleased
