Wtf .. they use eMMC for a premium product? At least UFS 2.0 required at that price. Not voted.

Seems like people spending more time on return for repair than actually enjoying it. Fairly price if you want to get rid of unsucessfull model. Basicly not worth buying is Windows 10 is 4 gb , is not tablet and is slow.

Fair enough however from what sources are you hearing buyers of this item complaining about reliability / build quality?

Then the 2 year warranty will be very handy in this case.

I think a bit to small for me this size tablet is a media tablet than work device. I got a acer switch 12.6 inch and would have bought this if it had a bigger the screen. The 12 inch version of this is too expensive for me.
Isn't this comparable to the surface pro with same m3 chip?

It's comparable, but apart from the CPU the Surface is significantly better in every department. This is a great price for a Galaxy Book though. As mentioned above the use of eMMC is going to be a problem and is a very strange decision.

But you paying nearly half the price
Purchased, thank you. Missed out on this same deal a few days ago on the Samsung website.

Was going to buy an iPad Pro but this deal is a no brainer with the pen and keyboard bundled in. This coupled with the 2 year John Lewis warranty is a good buy.

I have been using one of these for the past year. No issues and decent speed.
Hot for price but after checking reviews this is not for me. Really designed for the average light work use and portability
Have some heat. ...ordered for my daughter
Anyone know if you can expand the ram on this
Lenovo Miix 510 12" is better than this though for slightly more.

It's a tablet form factor so the ram is soldered to the board, making it non-upgradable.
Got the 12" spent a couple of hours getting the latest updates for windows then got a blue screen of death and sent it back to Samsung.
Waiting for several days for a refund. Would not purchase again.
Really annoying considering I just got it from Very for £500 and they don't do price match.

I can't say because the seller is banned here , but have a look at eBay. I bought one when there was 20% code ... Without code around £400...

I've never said it was the best product of its type and I do agree with comments that certain areas aren't as good as they could have been (missing AMOLED screen and should have had SSD rather than eMMC storage etc.).

However, at £349 many will see it as a reasonable priced option. I've done a quick search of Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com and can only find listings with an average scoring rating of 4 out of 5. I'm sure some of those may be negative, but again the average ratings in general don't appear as bad as you suggest.

Well I’ve invested in one. Arrived yesterday. Slightly heavier than I first thought but seems ok and build quality seems to be much higher than I expected at this price.

For 350 gbp, you get a laptop replacement with windows 10. It is remarkable how much they have copied the iPad hardware design. The iPad pros are far to much money for my liking. With the 2 year warranty and the excellent JL returns policy it’s worth a punt. I’ll see how I get on with it.

cheers OP. Happy new year!
Anyone know how this handles things like Photoshop?
Thank you Rodman, bought this for my daughter, picked it up yesterday and it is perfect. She is into art so the S Pen is going to be great. We started Minecraft and it seem to play that just fine so it is ok for at least that level of gaming. Great screen. Well impressed so far with the limited time spent with it. 3 hours of windows updates though, although that obviously isn't the fault of the device. If I didn't have a Surface through work I would pick one up for myself as well.

You're welcome. I actually posted the deal and I'm also happy with the item since mine was delivered. I think at this price it represents decent value even if its spec is not top of the range. Certainly better than slightly cheaper Atom based machines.

Windows 10 is fine with 4GB, as long as you have fast storage (like an SSD). Not sure why most people need more than 4GB, even gaming only really needs 8GB.
Would this be good with a wacom graphics tablet? It apparently needs 64 bit for the download app it came with. Will not download to my own laptop as its set at 32bit and I don't fancy doing a complete wipe to change it. Any help as its for my son, I look at all the laptop deals and get very confused as to what to buy reading people's comments. Thanks 😔

Sorry Sell.Me, I saw Rodman in the post (I'm not a big user of hotukdeals!). Thanks Sell.Me!
Really tempted with this to replace an Asus T100 Chi as the cpu and ram are much better.

Anyone bought one of these? How is the keyboard? I've got a Surface Pro i7 from work so this might disappoint in comparison?

What about the design flaw in Intel cpu
There is an incoming patch that will reportedly slow them down by up to 30%

Seems pointless buying anything with an Intel processor until we see how the patch will affect performance.

That’s fine at this price.

The Google Pixelbook, which only runs a chrome browser, retails for £999 and uses emmc. To get nvme, you have to buy the £1700 version.

For typical home usage the performance hit is seemingly more like 5% on average. Not that there is any competition in mobile with this class of CPU.
Wish this was an Amazon as I have amazon vouchers for Xmas.
