@MrSwitch I adore my sammy buds, (1st gen) audio and battery life is amazing, but calls are GARBAGE, mic is awful nobody can hear, has this been addressed in this upgrade mate, because the apple ear pods calls are flawless.

Love this, got a pair with my S20 Ultra, such an improvement from the 1st gen, love the ambient sound feature!

I honestly do not know, watch flossy Carter YouTube video and he'll tell you the difference, I recall battery life being far far superior on these ones.
It's worth noting that Samsung/AKG are releasing noise cancelling true wireless earphones: theverge.com/202…rea

in South Korea only, but I imagine they'll come out to the UK at some point. Might be worth holding off the Buds+ for these.

They're a lot better than the first gen for calls apparently but still not on the level of the air pod pros. As mentioned these still don't have ANC.

Just what I've gathered from reviews, I've not got a pair of these (yet).

I use these mostly for conference calls and think the audio is great. Believe Samsung added an extra mic to address this issue. Have also been on the other end of calls where people have been using and I genuinely cannot tell the difference between handset or buds. Battery life is decent but ambient mode does drain them much faster. Easily last me a couple of days. Good bit of kit at this price point I think.

Totally agree. Fit,sound etc works fine for me. I dont even bother taking calls on them anymore as its always the case folks cant hear me.
Will these be £90-100 anytime soon?:(
MrSwitch02/04/2020 11:26

Hopefully

I refuse to spend £100+ on em so hopefullyyyy
Had them sent them back for the money nothing special plus their not that loud compared to other ear buds that I've tried Sony, Anker, Jabra
Bought a pair off ebay which work brilliantly. Around £12.99 will try and find link now ...

Have a look at the jabra 65t there's a seller on eBay selling them for about 75 and they have really good reviews

Otherwise get the haylou gt1 I have them and they are insanely good for the moment cost me about £16 and they are touch sensitive. You can use either sar bud independently. And the sound quality is great. Only issue for me is the fit. I don't like the big gummy ear buds. Never worked for me that's why I'm trying the jabras as they go further into the ear canal. Otherwise unless I open my jaw sometimes there's no sound going to my left ear with gummy buds lol. But I guess that's just a personal issue lol

How long did it take them to arrive once your claim was validated? I submitted mine at the start of the week. Not looking forward to waiting until mid May if the quoted "upto 45 days" proves accurate...

Already got a pair of CA Melomania which sound great for music but are awful for calls - in terms of making yourself heard. These have to be better. Also the Melomania never feel hugely secure in the ear canal and every time I push them in again I accidentally hit pause...

I submitted the week I got the phone. Took about 2 weeks, came from Germany delivered by DHL. These are really secure, come with lots of different bud attachments and the microphone is good!
Received mine today as part of the S20 preorder desk... Really nice ear buds

Did you go for the free postage (and they were sent recorded anyway) or did you pay the £15.99..... seems steep for postage really although is offset by the relative low cost of the Buds

Thanks James... I'm just very wary as I've been caught out before...

These are pictures of the box I received direct from Samsung... Was your box sealed and have the same labels?

My missus and daughter want some, they won't be impressed with me if I screw up 😁

I'm sure you'll be fine gents. Mine was pretty quick and took around 5 days from ordering iirc. Think any delay would be more likely down to Royal Mail being overwhelmed at the minute!
