Dont bother with Samsung for budget phones, you are much better off with Xiaomi, Huawei and the other cheaper brands.

Friend showed me hers yesterday, screen looked great and no lag, whats not to like ?

gets good reviews.
It's not a bad phone in terms of speed, however if you go for the 8gb internal it'll fill up very fast as most of it is the OS, oh and the power button came loose after a year or so, but tbh it's not bad for a minimal budget phone

Decided to order as the screen looked so good, can order memory card if needed, thanks for update.
A friend of mine has this phone, and a lot of the apps don't transfer to memory card, so you will not have much left to use.

You shouldn't really buy the phone just because the screen is good. What really matters in a phone is what's inside so in a couple weeks or months you might be like it's to slow or it keeps freezing

Was looking at it to replace an Samsung A3 2015, but it's the same 1.5GB ROM, 16GB RAM (or even 8). Android 5. And it's LOCKED..
No point by modern standards. Would rather buy Huawei P10 Lite from CW

Good basic phone, if you don't want to buy from China...

Can you use o2 locked phones on other mobile virtual networks than run off of o2 network, like Jiff Jaff, Tesco, and Sky Mobile?

But thats like comparing Apples with Potato's one is £79 and the other is £154!
My daughter had this. We were out in the car, no water around and it suddenly overheated and wouldn't connect to the internet or her network at all. We turned it off to restart and it never came back on again. Despite this being a known issue with the phone Samsung said it was water damaged, they decided it would cost me £25 to collect from the repair or £130 for a repair! There was no way on earth it was water damaged just be aware that whilst it's Samsung it's cheap it possibly won't last! And I love Samsung!

not exactly. you can pay £139.99 if you cancel your contract within 14 days, which makes 79 vs 139.99
And if you use TCB, it potentially give you £50 back, making it 79 vs 89.99. Not that bad.
But you decide for yourself whether you like that option or not.

Managed with my pixi 3.5 ok for a while, sure i will be happy with it
Got this on a retention deal... memory rubbish...
For cheap phones its now Huawei all the way unless you want to go even cheaper and order direct from China, Xiaomi etc.

Just helped someone with this get another phone (only had this phone c.6mths) as running like a dog because she had a few apps other than the pre-installed ones (and not even very many) and onboard storage was full. Avoid - 8GB was OK a few years ago but really not now unless it has adoptive storage.

This is the main reason people stick to iPhones, they see Samsung branding and expect it to be high end despite being a budget phone and then get the impression that all android are weak like these.

I know several people that have cheaped out and got the J models and have hated them after 6 weeks.

The screen might be nice but the specs are weak.

If you go Samsung you should buy the S models otherwise as I said before go with the more value orientated brands.

A lot of them can't be removed as far as I know. Why Samsung think people want them to take Android and make it worse and charge more for it, I don't know. Even more mystifying is that it people do?!?! Stock Android all the way.
