Ordered 2 for christmas presents thanks op

pretty sure if you know someone with a current o2 contract they can get them unlocked for free (if they say they are now thiers..) .. certainly was the case when i was with o2 many years ago...

Good phone for the money. Would definitely choose and recommend this over one of those cheap Gearbest/AliExpress phones - if given the choice. It looks smart as well.

If you do need unlocking it’s about £6-8 on eBay.

Yes - that also works, but you need to use this phone (the one you buy) to make a valid call on the network and wait 24hrs so they know it’s associated with the account you’re using to unlock it

I wanted to give to someone they are not in this country so yes I need the phone to be unlocked.
Even if I was buying the phone to use it in this country then I am on EE contract so I would still need it to be unlocked. Also if I was to use it as a spare phone then it will still need to be unlocked to use with other networks. At the end of the day

You personally need to unlock the phone - fair enough. But that doesn't mean that everybody has to, does it? We are all different people.

How can I get a £10 back? I mean the mandatory topup of minimum £10.

Fair enough

8gb storage!!!!

Seems slightly expensive considering that and potential further£10 to unlock

But you will get a good brand and warranty

So not voting either way

could I use this with a tesco mobile sim (since tesco use o2)?

Somehow i agree with the posters above that the cost of unlocking should be included in the final overall price. Afterall the deal appears to be about getting the Handset for 80£, which isnt really the case

I thought you can simply ring O2 to get unlock code for handsets purchased from O2. Is this not a case these days? I am sure it usedc to be free of charge at some point last year.
Or you only get free unlocking for phones purchased with O2 on their pay monthly plans?

I have this phone and its the worst I've ever had. Bottom of the range. Takes about 5/6gb just to run. Doesn't sink to my car and constantly drops calls and freezes. Beware.

Great little deal, been watching this phone for a while.

I didn't think a product was yet invented that 'sinks to one's car'

But on a serious note, have you tried returning it for a replacement or refund if still under warranty? You either bought it defective or it has developed these faults over time.

Is this deal available in store

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

From what i have read previously, I understand it should work with both Tesco and giffgaff.

Mystifies me why people like Samsung phones, they're always poor value. Have an A3 2017 as a work phone and it's really poor. My wife had an S3 back in the day, poor, after a Galaxy Ace, also poor.

I jumped in with the s4 and it was great...no issues at all... did everything i wanted, upgraded to the s7 about a year and a half ago(because contract ended and android 7) and its also been fantastic... one piece of advice, never go for a mini, instead go for last years flagship (the cheaper ones are crap).
