plus £10 top-up if you are not on GiffGaff already...
Quidco promised £40 cashback for SIM activation with new phone purchase.
TCB £30 for the same.
OP - you need to state £89 (only £79 to Giff Gaff customers)
Good price but you're severely limited for apps due to the low internal storage

Exactly - 8GB main memory only, out of which 88% is already used by Android/pre-installed apps. Get the 2017 version better with 16GB of memory...
Giff gaff costumers..buy a sim from Poundland 50p or 1£ and that's it
I was given this to me as my work phone. Useless with 8Gb memory.
On top of what little storage you have you'd be constantly clearing the cache. Really, a budget phone should have 16GB these days. Apps are getting bigger and bigger. So are operating systems which take up a sizeable chunk of the storage. You can only free up so much storage by using the app to SD feature.

Thanks to all of you for this info. This was going to be the phone my 12 yo spent his birthday money on. Any recommendations for a half decent budget phone?? Looking around £100-120
recently got Moto e4 for my parents.
very impressed for the money (120 from John Lewis with 2 yr guarantee)

Would have said the Moto G5 at one point like the other answer, but quality has gone down the pan. I'd consider the Nokia 5 at £109.99 inc a £10 top up at CPW instead.

I would say the Nokia 5 also. All Carphonewarehouse phones are unlocked too (not sure on iPhones though) no matter which network you have the top up on

Decent enough for the price. Super AMOLED. And 32 bit apps take up less space so 8GB is a bit more doable with an SD card. Might frustrate anyone playing phone games.

Yes definitely a good price, especially for the Super AMOLED. I was tempted at £109 but found the S7 Edge on offer
Phone made by Samsung but no samsung cpu inside.

Hard to say, reviews are very mixed for the J3 camera.

i'm really tempted by the n5 but the camera would be a downgrade from my motog3..

why can't i find anything around £120 that's an upgrade from my 2 year old g3 that cost £89!

btw, the newer j7 is a nice phone with much more efficient chipset, if you want a big phone (still no notification led and some other things)

I'm not sure the camera would be worse than the g3, maybe not a lot better though. Reviews of the camera seem something akin to the Moto g5 standard version.
Hi can anyone help me I have bought couple of phones after paying 10 pounds for giffgaff goodie bag about a month ago but now I noticed they have taken 10 pounds off me again.Do you know why ?
Any advice appreciated thanks
