6.4" screen for anyone needing the conversion.

If the performance is acceptable and the camera is decent this will be a good alternative for the budget Xiaomi crowd.
I have this phone. Previously had lenovo p2 with a 5.5k batt. For me every single phone should have a huge battery. Nothing more annoying than having to charge every day and manage your battery when you're out. On this phone I can just use it. For example if I have to fast charge...30 percent is enough for me to run for the day. On a full charge I don't have to charge the phone again for 2 to 3 days.

The AMOLED is absolutely worth it for two reasons...super brightness in sunny days. No. 2 the more overlooked reason...Oled pixels are turned off when displaying black. This means half of your screen is not draining battery for those of us who use dark mode themes.

Good price for this. That battery and AMOLED is a great combo.

Agreed, the old "stick a big battery in it, and they will buy it" works, and with it having that Samsung name, this will be even more popular.

I think the UK version has NFC too?
Great phone. Bought this from Amazon I believe last Black Friday when it was this price. After a day of use the battery is never below 70% remaining still to this day.
Can't fault the phone tbh.

Yes, definitely has NFC. Tempted by this but not sure about the size/weight. Anyone know how many returns you can get away with on Amazon - I've been through a few recently!!!

It's not bad at 190g for such an incredible battery. Amazing they got it to that weight with such a big battery. Performance seems decent too, even for gaming. I'm actually tempted myself lol

That's what I was thinking, considering the battery size then 190g isn't too bad. Would be nice to have no more battery anxiety!
Battery is so impressive at this price point wow
Heat! Hasn't been this price since black friday. I think this phone is a great option. Certainly better than the A51 (which is more pricey, same CPU, similar cameras, not much lighter, and has much worse battery)

Hasn't been this price for a while, not this year anyway.
Are there factors that Samsung follow in deciding whether to install an Android skin or the One UI?

Is the One UI the same whether installed on Samsung or Nokia?

Are there pros and cons to the Samsung skin over the One UI software?

This or the Redmi note 8t on the mi app today at £139??

Tough one, I'm a Redmi fan in general but big battery, amoled, and always-on-display are good points in favour of this.....and this is lighter than the 8t despite the bigger battery. However, the 8t at £139 is great value.

ok, here goes
All newer samsung phones can access the one UI beta - it's all about making the interface easier to use on larger devices
Models are here
en.wikipedia.org/wik…_UI
more Samsung info here
samsung.com/glo…ui/

One UI is Samsung's own interface derivative for Android. Nokia will be different (Android One) unless a way to unstall the Samsung One UI onto a Nokia has been succesfull in which case it will be the same - if you see what I mean

It's up to you which you prefer. If yout install it and don't like it, you can go back to the original UI.
Have a read of the link and see if you think it will benefit you.

To each their own

What is the internal memory and the RAM? not mentioned any where on Amazon!. If it is 128GB, 6GB RAM I am definitely buying it

Pretty sure it's the 4gb / 64gb variant (with expandable storage).

Thank you..but that is only a guess. No description whatso ever on Amazon and there is a 6gb/128gb in the market. At this price point it is a wishful think but Iam hoping.
Really don't know if I should go for this or the Redmi Note 9 Pro
If the battery size does relate to real world improvement in time between charges this is a great deal, AMOLED and 6000mah !

A couple of the reviews on Amazon say 64gb, and the Q&A's say 4gb / 64gb so unfortunately i think the 6gb / 128gb is not likely.
Been waiting to see if the pixel 3a xl would drip to this level with the 4a due....this has me tempted not to wait. Anyone able to comment on the camera on this please?

My much loved S7 died yesterday, would this phone be roughly comparible in terms of spec? Was tempted by the second hand Galaxy note 9 posted yesterday but leaning towards this as it's new (battery wont have degraded) and 2yr warranty

Think in terms of performance this would indeed be roughly comparable to an S7:

The low light camera performance however would be better on the S7.

How does it compare to the Motorola G8 Power?

Thanks MrSwitch, just ordered one

If the S9 had this battery it would run rings around this.

If battery life is an issue, get this, if camera display etc are what you need, keep the S9 for now

I can not comment about Bluetooth codecs as I know nothing about that but Battery life is very very good. Since using it for nearly 5 Months it did loose signal once or twice. Updates are really good and regular.Camera is good enough for this price range
