proper uk stock?

doubt it...grey import. but only guessing.
this region lock thing on these phones.....

what a headache to have to deal with
Not sure why the region lock upsets so many people? Personally I'm happy with mine and love it and region lock is least of my worries.Vant recommend this phone enough worth every penny.Wish I'd dumped my iPhone sooner.
My son (13) hasn't shut up about how he's going to buy one of these with his combine birthday/christmas money. If he has £435 to spend after Christmas it'll be going to keep the family home afloat. Just like our parents did with our money when we were kids. The cheek of him.

For God's sake it's Christmas. Jesus would have wanted him to have the phone.
After my recent android 4.3 update on my S4 I for one will certainly not be buying into Samsung again.

I know this has nothing to do with the note 3 , however the shambles that has reduced my S4 to a brick is just a joke.

I only did the update on my s4 yesterday and luckily no probs. Have you complained to Samsung or where you got the phone from?

at this price it's probably worth the risk, especially if Scan offer their own warranty service.... hot

You're still in warranty and since its Samsung's updates they will de-brick your phone.

Or are you just spouting nonsense?

You must of turned your phone off whike it was updating.

Voted hot on the price, but still in a contract with my note 2 (best phone so far) .
Will definitely be getting the note 2 once this contract ends.

Even if you pulled the battery during upgrade, there is no way you could brick it for good.

Apparently putting a European SIM card in for a few mins and making a couple of calls validates it has been activated in Europe and then any worldwide sim can be used.
Take this with a pinch of salt, it was still two years ago but worth considering:

Think it is to do with the sim card region you are in eg UK sim makes it EU locked and you can't then put a sim in from say the US, you can still use your sim over there just not take advantage of cheap local sims. That said, yes it can be removed thanks to devs on XDADevelopers. This explains the lock reasoning and where to go.

What was the issue - is it resolved? As others have said, you almost certainly havent bricked it. If you have you may have a claim with your original vendor and/or samsung.

He can use it to browse for a better boat for the family...saves bailing water out of the one you have?

Alternatively your family could live on your son's Note 3 raft.
There was a problem with the S3 4.3 update as far as I'm aware (I was affected by it) but Samsung released an update last week which for now seems to have fixed the problems. As far as I know, this problem only affected SG3 and not the S4.
Got a galaxy note 3 a couple of weeks ago and I'm still exploring it's abilities. I wanted a big phablet but not xperia ultra size. Great screen and handwriting recognition works pretty well. Big phone but fits in my trouser pocket no problems. I'm thinking about getting the wireless charging kit next. Would recommend this phone.
nice price
This price has made me realise that I have found this year's gift to me!
much confuse but much want

This phone is now sold at £499 at Scan and at £ 434 at Scan ebay outlet.........why such a difference in price? .........does it mean that the ones sold by Scan ebay are refurbished or grey import ?

why is it much more expensive on Scan website?

why is it much more expensive on Scan website?

Because this is currently an exclusive promotion in connection with eBay !
i think it also does have something to do with price matching. Thats how scan today only page work. You can get things cheaper even if product page show You higher price.
Oredered one just now cos you can't get this phone cheaper and this is the only phone that supports Push email on any mail client natively which is fantastic and a huge + for my work.
Description clearly says MPN: SM-N9005ZKEBTU which is a UK model
I called Samsung service and they told me that any European Note 3 is covered in the Uk under the samsung warranty
Only the asian and middle eastern models that aren't.
