Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 16GB WiFi 2 Yr Warranty £300.00 @ John Lewis

LocalFound 7th Aug 2014
Bought one a week ago. Waited to see if it was worth it before sharing.
Found them in a hidden box browsing the store In city centre(NOTTINGHAM) the other day. The memory is expandable to 64 GB so its not a compromise. The attendant explained these are the ones returned to John Lewis under their no-fuss customer service, since they are opened so they cant sell them as new. They are all tested, factory reset and resealed by JL.
The tablet's pros and cons are a different debate but the Note series is unparalleled for its S-Pen!
I ran some antutu benchmarks to check if these were legit. They are! I have been trying to be a picky with it ever since to find a fault. But I cant, this is good as new.
And with the 2 year warranty, you cant go wrong.
This is a PM600 model to be exact.
They've got about 20 pieces in black and white each.

£300 is surface pro money.
£450 on their website? Cold.

Read the first line of the description, it states in store....
Good price but really an "open box".

You need to flash 4.4 firmware for another region (see SamMobile for example) to get rid of the lag though. You can always flash back to UK when it becomes available with 4.4.x.

Where is Surface Pro for 300? 17W Ivy APU on Surface Pro in tablet platform (10") is crazy, no wonder you have guides on the 'net advising to throttle CPU to 50%. Haswell 15W APUs in 13-14" ultrabooks get thermally throttled with far better/bigger cooling solutions not to mention batteries.

If you need a full-blown Windows tablet with i5 - OK - otherwise newer BayTrail Windows tablets are far more suited to compete with Note.
bought the 32gb one from expansys last week for £259 very happy with it so far
