If you want the S Pen functionality, better battery life, an even larger display and a more versatile camera then go for it

I think you can call it an upgrade (1.5 years apart), albeit maybe not a dramatic one (that would be S10/Note 10)

You'd notice a much better camera, bigger battery, general improvement in all areas like extra memory & storage, screen, sound, speed...and especially the stylus pen and its possibilities, including as shutter operator (not that I have used mine much, to be fair)

Same here, but going to hopefully hold out for a other year. 😁
I've gone from a Note 8 to a Note 9 which is a smaller upgrade than I'd have liked but I don't like the new S10/Note 10 design and features so want to try and get a decent Note 9 now.
