Don't go through Amazon money converter it will cost more.

Good deal, but postage is not included in that price.

Also a word of warning... My bank charged me considerably more than the exchange rate I checked on XE.com

Postage is included

If you're in Germany it is. For UK customers it is not.

XE converter - 549 euros = 440 pounds

shipping is 3.25 euros which is £2.60.

They change the VAT rate too. Look at the item price. Has it changed?

Also when I purchased mine a few weeks ago it converted to £472 all in on XE, but my bank statement shows I was charged £489 + £1 international transaction fee. Like I said its a good deal but just want to let people know it will cost them a bit more than the price you've listed. Worth mentioning you obviously get a European wall charger with it. Not UK. Not a biggie but will probably affect resale price.

Not if you have a card that doesnt apply international transaction fees like a Halifax Clarity, Metro Bank, etc.

Amazon do convert it into pounds for you as an alternative if your card does charge a transaction fee.

What the point of LTE 4G ? Have you seen prices from EE? They are crazy, I am happy with 3G and 14mbps speeds on it

Is the deal still active? if so what is it?

Very misleading price in the title. The real cost will be more than that and it's cheaper in simplyelectronics. Deal should be cold.

I take it you haven't seen EE's joke of a price plan for 4G. If you had you wouldn't be too bothered about it!

Debit and Credit cards have totally different rate so it doesnt matter what XE says.

Hot deal, but will likely get cheaper once the 4G model is launched next week. Great phone.
EE prices may be humongous, but next year they will no longer be the only provider of 4G, and prices can be expected to drop once their competitors start offering 4G.
Regardless of EE's pricing, the 4G model is more attractive to some people (myself included) for future-proofing in the longer term.
That said, if the price difference is more than £100, I will still opt for the 3G model.

price seemed to be coming down quite a bit now

Everything's cheaper at that site. Difference being that Amazon will actually supply one after taking your money.

Based on testing seems the LTE model has a battery life half as long as the none LTE model (3 days+ none LTE, 1 and half day LTE), so you are basically loosing a hell of a lot of electricity for a feature you might not ever use.

What long terms we are talking about? I am changing phones every year or so. LTE just a trick to boost sales, especially at current prices for 4G offered by EE. On T-Mobile 3G I get stable 9mbps at my home and 14mbps at workplace-more than enough for mobile usage and pay £20 for 6 months unlimited internet on pay as you go.

Don't use xe.com it's not representative of real wold transactions. If you use a Visa for payment check here visaeurope.com/en/…spx it also allows you to add a transaction fee percentage. I know my visa card is 1.9% or thereabouts. It will give you more of an accurate figure.

Thanks for this - I ordered it 2 days ago from Amazon.de for 20 Euros more. Blast.

This story has a happy ending. Amazon.de were very kind and refunded me the 20 Euros difference.

So as far as it comes from EUZ one, it doesn't need any kind of custom ?

I ordered last monday 15/10/12 at higher price and phone still not delivered. Tried to email amazon de to ask could they refund difference and was told more or less to get lost. They said I could reject delivery to return phone and then re-order at lower price which is a total palava. I asked what day delivery would come as citylink still state it will be delivered last Friday and Amazon de could not give date just telling me it may be left with neighbor. Customer service was not given to me
