Anyway, just bought it the same price @JL and it's amazing

Voted hot with a tear in my eye!

Won't be long until they're in the poundshops at this rate!

Think I am going to bite on this - Thanks OP for the quidco discount info, but I think I will get it from John Lewis or PC World so it is a bit easier to return if needed.
I bet they reduce it again on Monday (just after I get it!)

Do you think I will notice any difference in performance compared to my Nook HD running CM11?

Picked mine up from Oxford street in London today, very nice. John Lewis had no black ones left, so I walked along to Curry's/Carphone and remembered that the Samsung store is across the road.

I popped in to Samsung and had a quick play with their demo model - it was still priced at £649 the crazy fools! When I eventually got pounced on by one of the assistants, I asked if they would price match their own website, "no we can't. I am am sorry". When I explained that I was just about to pop across the road and buy from Curry's for £324, she could not give a hoot - so I did.

I wonder how many they sell at £649 still?

Very hot tablet at this price. Bet it drops again on Monday

I have the 10.1 and recommend it to anyone, especially the 12.2 even better! remember these were ipad air rivals (and actually had much better specs than the ipad)

Good price just ordered one other day for £324 from John lewis came with 2 year warranty though

Does this have propreity charger or micro usb ?

Got the 10.1 send it's brilliant

i really want one......can i resist this is a great price

DonkeyKonk

Does this have propreity charger or micro usb ?

It uses a USB3 charger (which it comes with) but will charge with a standard micro USB charger, obviously the more powerful the better.

If I wasn't so skint I'd buy this. This is such a bargain.

The iPad is the item in a sealed box.

Happy to help.

the 905 only has a quad core processor. not sure how that effects performance though! And they are like gold dust.

I would not give Samsung an additional £325 for 4G connectivity - that is the only difference I can see. Same spec, just 4G modem. If it added £50 to the price I would have taken it, but not £325

Samsung standard warranty in the UK and Europe is 2 years anyway, shame John Lewis didn't add an additional year like they did on the Tab S

I paid £408 in October for my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Bronze 4G. Found the deal here on HUKD, too! It was available at O2 Refresh! Well worth the money.
Was the Note Pro 12.2 at this post's price at time, the decision would be harder to make.

I'd stick with the Ipad Air, a much better all round tablet than this one. As far as I'm concerned 12.2" is just to big for a tablet, feels heavy and uncomfortable in the hand. The screen resolution is the same as the 10.1" as well so doesn't look as crisp as it did on the 10.1". Just my opinion obviously but have tried both.

I had this for xmas ,my wife had the 10.1, resolution on this is very good, very impressed , not going back to laptop like i thought i might do. Paid £325 from samsung site before xmas on special offer, worth every penny!

I think I may go for this. I have 60 pounds in John Lewis vouchers and seems like a good price. The other one I was considering was the Sony z2 tablet which I can get for 339 after cashback. Does anybody have any views on which is the better deal?

I'm going to go and have a look for myself tomorrow but any thoughts would be appreciated.

I had the tab pro, it was cool, but a 12.2 tablet was just difficult to use comfortably.
I ended up selling it a few months after, because I barely used it. Felt more comfortable with my phone Samsung Note 3.

The Note Pro would've been a nicer model, with the pen and all, but I had issues with the tab, that I wouldn't really go down the route in buying another.

Internet wasn't working when connected to a bluetooth keyboard (2.4ghz, don't have a dual band router with Sky).
Applications tend to feel a little sluggish, minor lag, which gave me an awkward feeling about the device and it's stats.

The device it's self has a lot of hidden features in it, which made it amazing. But due to it's size and it not being the easiest of all lap tablets. I had to depart with it. Thinking an 8" or 9" would suit me better.
But I loved using things like Sidesync, remote desktop, a micro USB to USB connector + USB mouse + bluetooth keyboard. It basically turned it into a mini laptop, but due to the issue of bluetooth lagging out the wifi, I only used this method a few times.

This tablet is amazing I love everything about it the side sync is great ... phone just gets left on charge when I get in and use tablet only ... screen is great ... stilas is great .. got in curry shame I did not see this deal first

No...The SM-P905 model comes with Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 ( A true Qaud core powerhouse) and the SM-P900 and SM-P901 models comes with a Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7. Differences become apparent when under a heavey workload. I own 2 of these tablets and use them for work and at home

Not worth £325 more though. I don't buy into all this CPU power nonsense - this is plenty fast enough for anything you can throw at it. Excellent device. They only used the Snapdragon 800 CPU in the 905 because it supports 4G modems.

£325 is a good deal for this tablet - anymore than £50-£80 more for the 905 is really not worth it - Certainly not at £649, Samsung were taking the proverbial - but then they always do at first.

The basic theory for the latter, which has two sets of quad cores is that the chipset saves power by using smaller cores to do light work. In practice, the Snapdragon quad core is equally as power efficient in every day usage.

Interesting that.

I also recently went in the Samsung Shop in Oxford street and ask questions about their (stupid) prices. All I got back was a dumb look and a "Sorry I can't help you".

If you follow the news, Samsung are closing down their retail shops which didn't surprise me.

Can get for £299 in pc world with o2 priority voucher
