Wanna make this clear, this is for the people who actually want the mins/txt/data!!!

The main thing is the free insurance over the 2 years! Pretty much 26pm + a potentially (50-35 quidco) £15 for the handset cost and you get the S3, 300mins, unlimited txt 750mb data and 2 years free insurance

Same as this deal:

hotukdeals.com/dea…150

but adds 2 year insurance for £50

I'm quite clumsy so I think this is a pretty good deal

Insurance covers:

Loss
Theft
Accidental Damage
Malicious Damage
Water & Liquid Damage

More info here:
phone-shop.tesco.com/mob…nce

With a phone this expensive I really think it's worth having insurance!

Blue:

THERE IS £35 QUIDCO!!!

Just like to add the Insurance if it wasn't free would cost you at least £4-£8 extra a month, So a potential saving of £96-£192
Can't complain with that. Most contracts will charge you a fiver a month for insurance alone. If not more.
Hot because the OP's actually put the correct price in. Shame they not got blue
Btw, effective cost of the phone is about £360, contract on SIMO is about £13 so not a bad deal at all.

I looked and they only showed the white lol.
seems a good deal. Just want to say that banks often offer good insurance deals as well. My barclays account costs £6.50 a month and I get an interest free overdraft + mobile phone insurance + gadget insurance (£500 total cost so used on ipad 3) + some other stuff like +1 year extended warranty on all new appliances. I'm sure other banks do good deals as well
If anyone already has the white in TM via Tesco...

Is it unlocked/debranded?

Tempted to get one as I cancelled my current TM contract last week and with lead time delay I reckon on a July delivery date on the blue which ties in nicely with the end of my current contract Just don't want to have to mess about rooting/installing a stock rom if its full of TM bloat.

Is the blue one not available or something? I've got it in my basket atm, and I'm gonna check out soon after I have my due diligence
great deal
No call waiting. Cold.

The insurance you need to read carefully it says its free but for each claim you make you pay the excess fee, "You’ll have to pay a claim excess fee which varies by handset (and will never be more than £75). We’ll confirm the excess fee for your chosen phone when you register for free insurance."
Seems pointless to get a handset like this on a limited data tariff

Only really affects you if you want to stream etc but thats pretty kak on a mobile imho anyway.
Bought this yesterday, only got my confirmation email yesterday and still haven't heard about credit checks, not very impressed so far.

Quidco tracked, btw.

**** em then....
as i understand it, t-mobile internet is unlimited apart from streaming?

so do they include youtube as streaming? or by streaming do they mean things like lovefilm?

"300 mins/500 texts" on Tesco's website, a mistake with them or the HUKD listing?

Youtube counts. You get basic browsing and email access only.

Wish my contract was up, I'd be all over this if it was.

I bought a Galaxy Note (love the phone BTW) through Tesco on the 8th June.

I've just called the number for the free phone insurance and it started on the 14th June so I can't claim it. Typical!

PS - This is a stunning deal if you want an S3!

Cheers!
Not bad but i eventually caved in and got the blue 16gb on Three one deal £34 month unlimited text and data and 2000 mins cross networks, been waiting since launch and been no better deals for me so bit the bullet and gone for it and my BLUE new shiney sammy be here Tuesday just hope the coverage is ok, the bird on phone said it should be fine....
are these phones unlocked?
I would have went for this but its Tmobile - which is rubbish where I live.
Tempting, but I couldn't live with 750MB data, I need much more than that
So can't you use skygo on t-mobile? How does it restrict do they charge or just don't allow? I was thinking about this deal and then tether to my iPad, would this not work?

I swear this is about the third time I've been rejected on a contract, stupid credit history has to start some where right?!... Just gonna get my Dad to do it and just give him the full cost when I get the money in the summer...

Said it before the One plan on 3, is the BEST for use of this phone, if you wanna use ALL the features without limitations and have the latest phone you can't beat their deal, this 250-300 mins deals i see on hotdeals all the time just dont cut it for a £500 smartphone.
£34 per month, FREE handset and £55 topcashback.
All-you-can-eat data
2,000 minutes
5,000 Three-to-Three minutes.
5,000 texts
24 months
Good price although expensive compared to this deal - without insurance.........

mobiles.co.uk/t-m…e=1

Unless some one wants to pay approx £100 more for insurance .....
The three deal is the best ive found, I even grabbed a PAYG sim to try the signal out as I was just about to finish my contract. Wont work in my house though
I saw this deal this morning but backed off due to the TESCO network. Im currently with Talk Mobile (Vodafone) but the 3g is flakey to say the least so im sceptical (perhaps unduely so in this case) about 3rd party carriers.

I cant see how 3rd party 'piggy-backing' would give you a better service than the principal provider.

Does anyone have any feedback on TESCO mobile on the whole?

Do they use O2?

Ok if you can actually get a signal on 3. The 2 people I know on 3 can't wait till their contract ends.

How is Orange? TM autoswitches to that if it cannot pick up a good signal, which is the case at home for me. I get a signal/3G everywhere now.

I bought my iPhone from Tesco and Tesco does piggy back on O2. No tethering on the iPhone, even if O2 allows it - maybe you can find a way around that on Android. 2G was fine, but 3G was extremely spotty and rarely found outside of major cities. Switched to TM when my 12 month contract finished and couldn't be happier.

Watch your Clubcard points because Tesco "forgot" to add those on at the correct rate several times over the contract. Tesco also lied to me about the effective end date of my contract so the I could get my PAC and I ended up getting charged for 13 months.

The 12 month contracts were extremely attractive since all other carriers were going onto 18-24 month contracts only, but I don't rate Tesco/O2 as a carrier.
For those asking, I got this phone from tesco/t-mobile (unfortunately BEFORE the free insurance deal came out:), and it is unlocked and unbranded.
