5G ? Expect not that’s why so cheap. Old version.

Yeah, it's not one of the 5 devices worldwide that is 5g compatible.
And it's about 3 months old. Ancient.

Yeah was just checking. Been a stonking deal if it was.

It is ancient now, 5G version has killed its net worth, I’m sure it will do someone but I’m not using Android again unless it’s 5G as there ain’t much choice
Anyone know how long orders at eglobal general stay “processing”?

Anyone know how long orders at eglobal general stay “processing”?

friday was a holiday for them and they dont work weekends. They are ment to be there for like 3 days or so unless stock is out. oddly they dont actually tell you its out of stock unless you ask lol...

however, I did get a tracking number and its on the way. I even phoned DHL (insured) they said they have the package, so waiting for it to pass customs it would seem...

Hope thats some what helpful?

Real 5G speeds and real 5G connection are a good 12 months off . They are offered but not yet running at capacity.
So a phone having 5G will be important in around 12 to 18 months in this country.
So not ancient !!!
You’re better off with this than ANY 5g phone at the moment. None of the 5g phones are compatible with the 5g frequencies that are due to be later released for use. They are stuck on the basic launch frequency and they can’t be upgraded because it’s a hardware issue. So just like with 4g before it, this first batch of 5g phones will be outdated fast.

Why do you want 5G now. Don’t you remember the 3G and 4G rollouts, it was ridiculously slow and plagued with issues like overheating devices - just let 5G filter down properly, it’s never worth being an early adopter.
chrismad4rit11/06/2019 07:51

Was there an end to this saga?

Not a satisfactory one... I had to accept a reduced amount of vouchers that I could only spend on their website, on stuff I didn't want, that I then had to sell at a loss on eBay... and then I had to buy myself a new phone (from Amazon)
If you buy, use a credit card, then you have a good chance of a refund when it fails to turn up.
I bought from them with Paypal - I did get a full refund, eventually, but it's hard work, as there's a never ending stream of emails written by a dyslexic robot that require full and frank replies.
And don't forget you'll get daily spam (Sundays excepted) for life - mine goes straight to the spambox, but there's no stopping it.
You have been warned.

@99iainb did do that I believe but they took his device after 5 months, kept it beyond 6 and then PayPal nor the card company wanted to know. His issue wasn’t one of ‘non-receipt’. I guess it depends if the trade-off is worth it, for me, it isn’t - the saving isn’t so big that I’d want to risk it after hearing all the horror stories. It’s bad enough dealing with difficult UK companies.

Well the last new phone I had over £300 was 4 years ago. I save me cash hard, for HTB and 5G, I’ve a smidge under £500 savings aside for 5G now

Quite easy to save when you don’t buy expensive prepackaged ‘foodstuffs’ full of nasties not just food

Have you seen the brochure ?

EE say upto 1GBPS, Three say more than 2 times the competition (& they have the only 5G continuous network spectrum to do it)

EE plan to roll out 2022/23 the next stage 5G, Three are doing it at launch with 80% roll out by August 2022... when EE might then start it’s 5G upgrade, and moving 2/3/4G bands to 5G when most people have 5G compatible phones.

Acquaint yourself with Three MHz AND GHz
Spectrum ukbroadband.com

5G is now, August, Vodafone & EE have some 5G spectrum & Openreach delivered broadband - NOT a 5G NETWORK like Three.

5G is very much launched August/London/Three. Don’t be fooled by the little boys willy waving some minuscule 5G access spectrum.

I most certainly won’t get 5G till 2020 at the earliest but i visit two cities who will have it in 2019 with Three.

Of course it is, there are many people gagging for 5G especially Home Broadband as BT doesn't deliver broadband let alone fibre let alone FFTP many places.

People are out of options, 5G is the option, a outside antenna with 5G is a option beyond dismal BT internet access.

People with tight budgets are also going to pay for 5G contracts with Three and drop the landline to save money as it is suspected unlimited data remains, it’s still pushing unlimited data after a 5G launch is confirmed, the dominance of BT, Vodafone and o2 has truly become the beginning of the end.

No other network even refarming all their 2/3/4G can come close to Threes 5G Network spectrum holding even before Three fold 3G 2100mhz completely into 4/5G.

Everything is to play for, first generation 5G phones have a separate Qualcomm X50 modem to a 2/3/4G modem and that’s a plus alone, your internet doesn’t fail if 5G modem inside it does.

And lets face it first generation 5G modems are going to be put to the test.

This early on, everything is to play for. We’ve never had it so good wireless data.

I'm assuming you didn't bother reading his review then? His story checks out they have some serious BS in their terms and conditions, they know full well if they mess you around for a few months they can cheat their way around your legal rights and protections. It's not just him there are thousands of other people with similar experiences. Not this company but I had a very similar experience, luckily I managed to get my money back and that site is now not allowed on HUKD.

So the question is, why the hell are you defending these fraudsters?

It's very simple @Dakota777 , the enemy of my enemy is my friend, @99iainb shared his experience with Eglobal and you criticised him for it, to anyone reading your comment it would almost look like you didn't like him sharing his negative experience with Eglobal, or anyone for that matter. I for one am very grateful he shared his review as there are many people out there who are unaware that companies like this even exist on the internet and people do take advantage of their trusting nature.

The worst part is @Dakota777 can't even see my reply as he has allegedly muted me, can you imagine being so butthurt by a comment rather than thinking of an intelligent response you just block them?

I'm a note guy. Pre order every one for my daily driver. Also buy a few play devices a year.
5g is not even a consideration for me yet. And not only does my city have it ATM, but I travel to others that do also.
Be a while until it makes any difference in the value of a 4g only device.

Maybe so but data speeds ain’t great in Scotlands cities, you don’t get 4G upto 300 megs even on EE.

The advantage for me is downloading quickly a hour and half+ content for the journey uber quick within minutes at the train station, again train coverage in Scotland isn’t like overpopulated England where most lines have coverage most the way, most lines here have no coverage most of the way outside Glasgow’s old council run Strathclyde Passenger Transport (kinda like Transport For London).

True. I only got 275meg this morning on Melville Street in Edinburgh. ( 6GB iso download )

And it will be some time before there is 5g above the Firth of Forth.

Speed is always great , but it will be some time before it impacts most people.
That said of course it's not all about speed. Having the ability to install small nodes where needed target than a full mast has great implications.

Yeah but I don’t live in Edinburgh I visit it so 4G+ here on EE is 10 megs and just as bad on a 30 mile radius. Having 5G to download content for the journey home is better than 4G.

As you said 5G is a lot easier to install locally than main masts we have become accustomed to. The main cities will be covered sooner than later north of ‘central belt’ G & E, sure landmass will take time to add 5G on main base stations, but buying premises and installing under 25m 5G really isn’t a issue - I expect we will start seeing more mobile shops from networks on streets outside shopping centres again as its 5G coverage and thus more sales outside shopping centre hours.

5G for me like I said is like my old broadband pre train downloads (I can do that at the station now on unplanned last minute journeys with 5G). Now I’m unlimited Three at home, because that is the superior 5G spectrums player, I choose to stay post 5G auction and knew why they bought Relish. That Three account will become my main driver with 5G.
