£100 can be claimed with trade in?
Alcatel u3 anyone 😁
Apparently the s10e isn't included in the cashback promotion according to the terms and conditions. Still a good deal with trade in. Heat Added

Probably the terms and conditions haven't been updated yet. After cashback would be a brilliant deal!

Good deal, but to trade in a Samsung or Iphone, it needs to be a relatively expensive one, from Samsung S7 up, or from Iphone 7 up. To trade in another brand, you need to put your EMEI and check how much you will get, it will be max £100. Based on what models of Samsung or Iphone models they accept, I am assuming they will give considerably less if you trade in a £10-20 phone from Ebay.
The a50 is a bargain with the trade in and cashback....279-100-50= 129. Im glad i ordered that U3 for a cheap spare that im using for trade in.

Under the any other phone option you can send in any working android phone, as long as it is working and doesn't have a broken screen.
Well that's how it use to be, unless they've changed it in the last couple of months. I traded in a U3 for 100 pounds.

The price increases to 569 when you go to check out (if you have opted for £100 trade in). You get £499 only if you have not added any trade in

did it work?

yeah got the trade in discount and now just have to claim the cashback as advertised. Paid £179 and once the £50 cashback comes through its a bargain. even for £179 its a great deal for the a50
Can I go through employee portal, making it cheaper?

not sure as the terms does say something about employees not eligible for cashback etc.....don't bother with it and just take the £50 cashback as the employee discount is probably much less. You could try but you don't want to give any reason to reject the £50. its a bargain if it all comes through at £129.

Interesting. The link to the cashback offer takes you to samsung.com/uk/…ck/, which corresponds to the offer for 2018, therefore no s10e there. However, this page is about the 2019 offer and the s10e is listed there. In fact, if you start a dummy claim using the "Claim Now" option at the top, you'll be able to select the s10e as an eligible product.

Looks like after adding trade in device in £100 value price changes to £569. So either trade in or cashback:( But I'll contact them tomorrow.
Sorry I will have to expire this deal as it is not working as advertised:(
Can not use both trade in + cashback. After adding "zero value" android device prices goes up to £569.
Excellent offer, finally got rid of my HTC Desire android phone for £100 from 2010!!!

I understand that, but they will give you UP to £100, not £100. I guess it depends of the model you send, otherwise I can't see why they ask for the EMEI and why they suggest UP TO, when they can just say 'trade in for £100'.

I was thinking to send my S3 mini I had years ago. S3 mini does not qualifies under the Samsung models they want. These are from S7 upwards and they give you £100. I doubt it I will put the S3 mini under 'other phone' option and they will give me £100 for it. I may try tomorrow anyway.

In the last 12 months I have sent them several "zero value" android or apple phones and ALWAYS received £100 trade in value.
I couldn't get the order to go through. It was added to the checkout at the price of £499 but after entering address details the price went back up to £602.

Nice one. I think I went into this page earlier but probably wasn't updated.

Has anyone tried trading a cheap android phone to see if you actually get 100 pounds trade in? As it says up to 100 pound trade in so may not be the full 100 pound.

This is going to get hot! Thanks

Apologies, my bloody pound sign on the keypad isn't working!

Put it back up without the trade in option. Still a good price at #399!

I've put my argument above, but people still say you will get £100 for it.
I was looking to trade my old s3 mini. In the Samsung section they accept only from S7 upwards for £100.
In 'any phone' section they suggest UP to £100, they don't say £100. They ask you also for the EMEI, so if they give £100 for any phone, I can't see why they need this.
I will be surprised to get £100 for my S3 mini considering it is not listed under Samsung section, while the other phone section has the words 'up to' in it. I may give it a try tomorrow.

Yeah I realised that but try your s3 mini and they might accept it for 100 pounds. I'm tempted to buy a basic android phone for about 10-20 pounds to trade in.

Let us know what happens.
I purchased a Samsung a50 earlier this year and traded in a basic alcatel smartphone for 100 pounds. They asked for an imei number then too. Even if you choose the iphone or Samsung option, they still ask for the imei on the next page.

They may have changed the rules now. Someone needs to try! I haven't got a basic phone yet to try!
Ive spent 10min on the chat with samsung, as the price for 3 colour still showing £499 and I wanted to know why the checkout price is different. They said that they were supposed to change prices back this morning, but it didnt happen for some reason. I argued that it's missleading, as the price still shows £499 and that should be the base of discounts shown below. I am now waiting for email with resolution.

Don't wait. I have spent some time on chat and now on the phone. They are dealing with this at the moment. The website should upgrade within the next 24 hours. So by tomorrow morning they should fix all the price errors. At the moment same situation with S10 as well, after adding it to cart prices changes from 649 to 799.
Thank you for that. My understanding is that they made a mistake and should honour it, don't know if they will, but I gave them all I could to show that I am expecting this to happen, as it is missleading. I don't think t&c of the reduced price would state anything about 3.12.19 being the cut off, but I asked fornit to be sent to me. If they honour it it's great, but I'm not counting on that

Ok, thank you. That's even more confusing, as they clearly made changes on the website, but still kept s10e at £499! Let's see what happens next
